Default The Money We've Saved/Book the Queen Mary II???

Well, it's the beginning of a new year and I find part of my process
is taking stock of where I have been so I can figure out where I am
heading. Certainly the Money Saved in my meter is a great tool for
this as I have usually not spent the money outright but held back with
it for special items I could not afford in my daily budget. Well, we
did post how much we didn't smoke and the total was over a million and
folks are still adding in their information. I would imagine we could
probably book the Queen Mary II for a cross Atlantic cruise with all
the funds we've saved. What do you think???

FlatironMike
Ten months, three weeks, three days, 4 hours, 49 minutes and 28
seconds. 6544 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,963.20. Life saved: 3
weeks, 1 day, 17 hours, 20 minutes.

That's a good idea, Mike, but a better one would be to send me a check for
half a mil. I am not greedy. Just half, man!

Do I need to pack for a round trip or one way? Either choice would be
fine by me. :-)

Oh! The Queen Mary is a cruise ship and not an escort service?

I guess that works too .... sigh ...

I would go in a heartbeat! I *loved* the cruise I went on last fall.
My only problem is, I'm not sure what happened to all that money I
supposedly saved. I think the increase in gas prices burned it right
up. Guess I should have kept a jar and thrown my $$ into it each
week. Oh well.....

I think you, Becky, could be head of our entertainment as you know how

who would gladly go on the cruise.....but not return! <G>

Unfortunately I am not saving much money not smoking because I travel
on business to place with VERY CHEAP tobacco. So supported 'my habit'
on about 50 pence per day (is that 50 cents in real money?) Like the
idea of a cruise though - had a fantastic cruise last year round the
deserted island of the Maldives - swimming in the sea there is like
swimming in a giant tropical aquarium!! It will take me a long time to
save up that kind of cash putting 50p a day aside! - that is only
about £175 per year - any suggestion of my annual treat on that amount
of cash!!!

Suzi I used to buy my sickerettes from the Native American
Reservations through the internet and avoided the NY State & City
taxes and it was the only way I could afford to smoke. Still they did
cost a lot more than I'm saving now. Even if you only save 50 pence a
day, put that in a jar and over time it will add up and then treat
yourself to something you have considered getting but figured it was
too frivoulous. So far, I have gotten a DVD player and an updated CD/
Stereo and a wireless telephone and a lot of tasty restaurant meals.
It does add up.

My point, Lynn, is that we don't need money to ride the Staten Island
