husbnad and son when I get home from work today.
trying to be positive about work today. MD is one of the busiest days of
the year for restaurants. And people arent always nice either. You'd think
they would be, our of respect for Mom,but they arent. they can be assholes.
so may the craves be small and infrequet and the assholes be nonexistant. I
will be back this afternoon to let you know how it goes.

Becky, I hope that your Mother's Day turns out well for you, with a
minimum of difficulty at your work. I was touched by your message
because one of my sons and his wife are coming over to take me out to
lunch. I know it is a busy restaurant day; we have done this before
and found it difficult to get a table. But we have never been rude or
demanding to the staff. I will be thinking of you when we get to our
restaurant. We haven't quite decided where to go; there are quite a
few nice ones in my neighborhood. We are wavering between Italian or
Mexican. I hope you have a reasonably easy day, without any
assholes. And I hope, at this early stage in your quit, you are able
to make it through the day without decapitating any assholes that may
annoy you.
Be strong. Don't smoke. Not even one. Especially not one.

Thank you, thank you! Mine was quite lovely. Hubby made me some French
toast and sausage for breakfast before he and our boy went out to mow
the yard. It was such a fine day that I threw open all the windows
(mowing and all) to enjoy the cool breeze. In the evening, our daughter
came by and hubby cooked up a pile of stuff on the grill. It was
delicious!
Ribeye steaks
asparagus
grilled stuffed tomatoes
skewers of onion, portobellos and yellow squash
a few shrimp to top it all off
and
some rice pilaf (not cooked on the gril, of course)
oh, and a lovely bottle of Sangria wine. We dined on the patio. It was
lovely!
Of course, now I'm going to have to walk SIX miles a day to burn off all
the extra calories! LOL
