My computer won't let me install the chat software!

How do I get around this? I've tried everything I know. Vista is
"protecting" me from evil non-smoking chatters... isn't that sweet? I know
Jef or someone has dealt with this before - is there a way, other than
erasing my operating system?

I had to go into my Security Level and move the web site from restricted to
allowed. I don't know what version of Vista you're running, Kathleen, but I
would think it is the same for all. I hope that helps

It's your browser likely blocking the installation.

Use Opera ... or try it. Are you using IE?

Thanks Marvin - I'm hoping I can learn how to "reset" whatever it is that is
blocking the Active X controls. I have fiddled and fiddled with settings
and "trusted sites" lists, and still waiting. I remember Jef saying
something about this, so I'm hoping he can tell me what it is. I bookmarked
Opera and will do that as a last resort - I just hate to download more stuff
when it should be a simple fix!
