| | | My Father's day Thought 6.15 My father died just about 2 months ago, and yet when something special
happens to me, I talk to him secretly not really knowing whether he hears,
but it makes me feel better to half believe it.

I do the same with my Grandad. We were VERY close. He adored me (my
mom was his favorite and I was her first). He died when I was 8. I
still feel him sometimes. And when I'm troubled, I ask him what to
do...I always wonder what HE would have done.

Me too. I lost my Dad 23 years ago. He was a surgeon, a pilot, a
sailor, a real Renaissance man. He was too old when I was born (50)
to be much of a hands on, roughhouse Dad, but he was the perfect Dad
for me nevertheless.
Happy Father's Day to all my buddies here. Good slew of Dads, this
A3S crop...

LOL I'm waiting til it gets nice and hot (it's only 82 degrees right
now - 10:40) to go out and mow the lawn. As a master procrastinator I
end up punishing myself. Yesterday I did the back lawn when it got up
to 100. No tree back there to provide any shade but a small lawn so
about a 5 minute job. Maybe I'll get out there right now to bask in
the glory of my beautiful tree - and mow the lawn. Already did the
weeding in the vegetable garden.
Hope you have a happy day, Missy. I'm still thinkin'.

| | | Re: My Father's day Thought 6.15 AZ, my father passed on several years ago and while I was little
growing up we were not all that close. We did get closer when I was
an adult but I do find now that I'm in my 50s that I sense him more
and more. Thanks for sharing this with us!
