Default Need incentive to quit? True story.

A classmate - several years younger than I, has cancer of the mouth.
She is scheduled for surgery this week. They are removing 3/4 of her
tongue, after removing all of her bottom teeth because the chemo/
radiation therapy will work better that way. She will need speech
therapy and intensive drugs to rehab. The doctors/surgeons have stated
that the cancer is entirely due to smoking. Live & learn. So you think
that "craves" are important? Do you want this to be you?
Hugs,
Pam

EEEEEEEEEK.

That's awful.
I'm sorry for your friend, but in answer to your question: NO. I DON'T
want that to be me.

Thanks for this, Pam.

Hey Pam, I'm sorry to hear about your friend...oral cancer is a horrible
disease. Say, I just found this...perhaps it's a good resource for her:

Pam, I am sorry to read of your friend's plight. I do not know if I
did 'get lucky' by quitting now, but I hope that is the case. I do
hope she has quit smoking now?
