Default OT -- Cats and The Family

Hi Hello Bonjour!

A quick post before work.

Had an interesting day today.

Got home from work around 6 AM, dead, beat and tired. Brought home an
asparagus and bacon quiche (small but deep) and it was delicious.

On my way to bed I stopped to give one of our cats, Brighty, a nice rub
behind the ears. She must have enjoyed it because 3 minutes after
hopping in bed the bedroom door gets head-butted open and up hops
Brighty on the bed looking for some more lovin' ... I gave her a nice
bit of attention then said 'Love ya ... leave me alone'. About 2 hours
later I'm asleep on my stomach and I feel this tapping on my shoulder. I
open my eyes and there's Brighty -- she had been tapping me twice on my
shoulder with her paw ... repeatedly. She wanted more attention. She
did this several times throughout the day until finally I got up and
closed the door to the bedroom ... really cute cat, but persistent!

The family's home tomorrow. Mrs. A and the youngest have been gone for
the week to a Guiding convention/jamboree, and the eldest for about the
same time, visiting our family and her friends.

Usually I enjoy my time alone, but I have to say I miss them a huge
amount ... sigh ... absence certainly makes the heart grow fonder.
They'll be back tomorrow night.

That's it. Gotta run ... hope it's an easy night!

Cheers!

My kitties do the very same thing. They're total attention whores.
And I hope yours react better than mine to getting booted out of the
room.

Glad the family is returning!

Marvin! Thanks for sharing this moment with us. My cat totally gets
in my face singing his 'Starving Pussy Aria' at 7:30am regardless of
how later I've been up the night before. I would think that to a
degree your Brighty was just probably lonesome since your family is
out and about. I'm sure both of you will be glad to have them back
and in the swing of life!

Bake well!
