Default OT -- My Bread ...

Here's the results of my second attempt at braiding bread.

It's a 900g (2 lb) monster of whole wheat multi-grain dusted with white
flour.

http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?pi...QUHIsF4Cb5ORy2

http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?pi...fKHPGWciOTtkI0

It looks somewhat more impressive in real life in your hand/arm.

I'm pooped ... off to bed for a bit. Today is warm. Trees have started
to turn colour. And the pool's still a runnin' ... water temp is in the
low 70's (F) ... good 'nuff for moi. Beer and a BBQ ... my favourite
kind of Saturday.

Don't smoke. There's too much else in Life to enjoy.

Cheers and Hugs,
Marvin

I have been quit for 3 Years, 4 Weeks, 1 Day, 23 hours, 54 minutes and
12 seconds (1,124 days). I have saved $5,849.97 by not smoking 14,624
cigarettes. I have saved 1 Month, 2 Weeks, 6 Days, 18 hours and 40
minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 8/23/2004 8:00 AM

Hi Marvie,
I have been trying really hard not to read your posts about your bread
baking. see I am on a low carb diet and fresh warm white bread to me is like
cocaine to an addict.
I have been eating the seeds and twigs bread that has a bazillion different
grains noone has ever heard about and it taste like eating a sock.

Tomorrow is my big day!! I'm finally going to try to make bread with
Sarah's recipe. Almost bound to be a disaster. Not because of her
recipe. <sigh>
I hope your diet is getting results.

oh it is hubby went down 6 inches in the waist and I am down 22lbs. the new
pants I just bought without trying on but my old size I had to take them in
and now they need it again. My ass feels harder but I still have that old
woman arm flap giggly thing going on. I really hate waving.

Dear Marvin, thank you for the above. "Don't smoke. There's too much
else in Life t o enjoy."

How true that is. The other day I was reading a story in my newspaper
about the various carousels and merry-go-rounds there are in NYC. I
have always been a pushover for a nice ride on a horsie that rises and
falls as the wheel goes around. The story sort of was sorry that
there were no more merry-go-rounds where you could reach out and catch
a brass ring and get a free ride.

How well I remember doing exactly that. Even when I was a certified
adult, I loved going to the merry-go-round in Central Park. But the
truly wonderful ride was on the Brooklyn merry-go-round. I took my
little sons there; I don't know if they remember that.

So, Marvin, I never smoked while I was riding on a merry-go-round.

And thank you for provoking that memory.

Perhaps not in NYC but I believe the one at Santa Cruz (CA) Boardwalk
still has the brass ring.
I used to have a small coffee table book on merry-go-round horses.
There were pictures of some very beautiful ones.
