Thanks for asking!! We're not under water here, but every place
around us is. Back in the mid 1960s the Army Corp of Engineers built
a dike here that keeps us from flooding. Of course, the folks
downstream get the brunt of it, but the city of Davenport "doesn't
want to lose their river view" so they get flooded every year.

Our ground is soggy and most basements are wet, but that's nothing
compared to Cedar Rapids and lots of other areas around here.

I may be gone for a day or two. We've moving tomorrow (and probably
Sunday). So far this has been the move from hell. When I'm able to
get back online you all may be in store for a pissed off rant.

You've made my night, Ashley. I'm sitting here grinning.

Now, I'm off to bed. Tomorrow AM my son and I are playing with our
local community band at our first public concert and then home and it
will be nothing but assholes and elbows until we're finished. I hate
moving.
