Default QUITLIST VERIFICATION PROCESS - Status Report! - 6

Well, I sent out the second round of emails using the old Hotmail
email address to the folk who did not respond to the first round of
emails. Took me about 4 hours as I decided to do it all at one
sitting rather than spread it out over a couple of days. So far, I
have yet to get anything in either email from this, but I did get
several emails returned as invalid email addresses. I'll post that
list tomorrow as there could be other email addresses that will bounce
but not as fast and I'd rather post this list once rather than over
and over.

If you are on the QuitList and did not get either email, please check
your bulk or spam folder as the email might be sitting there. The
reason why the hotmail account was used for the second round of
verifications was due to the fact that the NTLWORLD account has only
been in use this year since Summer briefly took over the List. In
discussing the strategy with 'The Powers That Be' here in AS3 on the
best way to get the verification done and not have a shitload of
people off-list, I agreed to use both email addresses. After this
verification process is over and the new list posted on June 1st [yes,
a Sunday!] the Hotmail account will be closed and the only address for
the quitlist will be the one at NTLWORLD.

If you did NOT get an email to verify your quit and do want to be on
the list, please send an email to the quitlist [NOT MY PRIVATE
ADDRESS] at as3quitlist AT ntlworld DOT com and include the
following:

Your quit date
Your name as you want posted on the quitlist
your email that can receive email from the list for future
verifications.

The QuitList is maintained as a tool to help us with our quits and to
put out to 'the Universe' that we are smober and working it! The list
is verified so that the folk on the list are still smober and wish to
remain on the list.

Thanks for all your help in this process.

Well, I did not take a peek at how many emails I sent out when I did
it, but it was somewhere around 100 folks who had not responded to the
first mailing. So far, I've gotten back about 10 or so responses but
there are many others I am hoping to hear from, especially folk who do
post here often. I will post the bounced list later today as I have
not gotten any more bounced notices so I suspect that part of the
process is done with. Obviously if anyone here is on that list they
need to contact me with a better email for the future. And if you see
someone on the list and know their new address, write them to write me
to stay on the list. Several of the folk who are MIA are OOFs and
TOFs and I really do not want to have to take them off the list.
