Default Rambling on

After having been quit for 8 months, I could think that I was
"home-free". Well-meaning and supportive loved ones have told me that I
am. I know that I'm not. Let down my guard and I'm smoking like a
chimney again. I really don't want to die "that way". I've proven to
myself that I can never be cured of my addiction to tobacco. But I am
granted a daily reprieve as long as I choose to accept it. And that
means, for me, getting my AS3 inoculation. It's like a vaccine against
the nicodemon. But it only lasts a little while. Sometimes that
inoculation comes from an OF's post. Sometimes, strangely enough, I am
inoculated when I give what little strength and encouragement I can to
those who are just starting. Sometimes my inoculation comes from the
Thought Of The Day. Sometimes it's from the Junkie Thinking posts.
Whatever works for me on any given day, the point is that coming here
works.

ConcordPhil
I have not smoked in 8M 2D 5h 5m. That's 246 days! I have not used any
nicotine at all since 9/03/2007.

Phil! Well Said! I totally agree that when we support each other we
always wind up with supporting ourselves all the more. That is the
reason that groups such as this one work as well as they do. I, too,
could not be here without a little help from y'all!
