Good idea, but I am far too busy. Sorry, not this year. I just moved out
to the valley, Chilliwack. Try getting in contact with Sarah and Steve,
I think they might be planning a trip this summer down here. This is a
big city, there has got to be more than just the two of us. If I had the
time, (and a passport.. gotta get on that), I would've flown out to NY,
anywhere, really, but I am just too busy and I don't see things letting
up soon.

Jbeth,
I left you a note in another thread but if you guys need a haven on a

these rubber boats that hold 410 lbs, or 3 people, with oars and an air

Hi JBeth!! Beautiful meter, hon!! I don't know if we will be out that way
after all this summer. This 2 months off work has screwed with the summer

at work now? Everything settle down yet?
Thunderstorm right now! I was out on my deck, in my very, very, quiet

Jbeth,
That meter looks so good on you.
I haven't noticed the mad buying of stuff in our area, but then again I
haven't been to the store this weekend except to pick up some charcoal
for the BBQ. I did notice a lot of sandbagging near the Scott Road
skytrain station....hmmm, that area floods when it rains, the bags would
hold the water in...LOL I guess it all depends how high the tides are
when the river peaks and if the storm sewers are below the high water
line.
Mrs. hotair is doing fine. Still recovering from chemo and radiation
treatments but getting stronger and more active as each month passes.
Life is good.

Old saying - prepare for the worst/hope for the best. Or - better to

Well, I am cleared to go back to work on June 7th. But there is only 3 days
of work after that. I work at a technical college and classes are out for
the summer. So Now I have to fight with EI and get all this time off
straightened out. Doesn't *that* sound like fun? Thyroid wise, its slowly
getting better. I think I still need to take a higher dose, but it's slow
going. I've gone from sleeping 6-7 hours a night before my thyroid screwed
up to now needing 12 hours a night just to function. Being that I leave for
work at 5:30 in the morning, it's going to make my evenings at home rather
short, eh? Hopefull we'll have that all fixed up before I go back in
August.

LOL Been there done that! Steve laughed when he read that part. We sit in
our glass verandah and watch the storms when we get them, and we always have
those jump moments! Just another thought. If you put some oatmeal in a
nylon and tie it off, you can use it in the shower for a few times, and
there is something in the oatmeal that soothes itches. I use one for
mosquito bites in the summer. Just an idea!
Hugs and Kisses!!

Hey Jbeth,
Was out driving last evening, looking at the river. The river looks
mad, real mad. I'm afraid this will be a real flood that will get a
place in the history books. The only thing that could slow it down is
cold weather but as you know we are getting cool weather and rain right
now. Forecast for the weekend is sunny and hot,
If you need the boat head for higher ground, the river is not safe for
any boat right now, they're shutting down the Albion ferry cause the
current is too fast.

Hi Dave,
Not to worry, I am in Sardis, not a flood plain, the other side of
Chilliwack is. I used to have boat when I lived in Richmond too, just
for earthquakes, ya know?haha. I've seen the river, it is scary looking,
I check the guages online several times a day. I still think there might
be a bit of overreaction. I hope so, regardless, I am getting in things
I can cook on the bbq, a bit of water, all the "valuables" are upstairs,
as I expect services to disappear if flooding happens. I guess I can go
to Hope or further, as I know Abby is a flood plain too. I am just so
glad to be out of Pitt Meadows, crap, when it rained hard there this
spring the fields flooded!
