Default Silent Night UPDATE - Meter Flipped

Hi Everyone - Miss you all.

First thing I gotta tell - I found a job !!!
It's right down the street from where I found the apartment (where I
used to own my home - oh, well, thats another story for another time
perhaps) I can WALK to work - This will help in saving gas.
The pay isnt much, but the benefits are Mjor Med, Dental, Vision , and
401 k - Mind you, I just needed something to help pay the rent and be
able to go to school...
Think this will do it.
Thing is, I start sometime in a wekk or so, so this will hurt me come
time to pay NOV rent - anyway, I'll worry about that later .

smoking:
well, last night and early this morning was tough - I think I AM
fighting depression..I sure aint eating right or getting excerise like
I should - This needs to be addressed.
back to the smoking - Check out this meter :

Four months, one day, 21 hours, 22 minutes and 33 seconds. 3097
cigarettes not smoked, saving $495.56. Life saved: 1 week, 3 days, 18
hours, 5 minutes.

I MADE 4 MONTHS THIS PAST WEEK !!!!

I still dont have an internet connection, Im using the wireless from
teh school library.
I cant believe I didnt smoke through all the shit...I really cant
believe it...and I hope I dont today or tomorrow.
Take care my friends.
TTYL
Steve

Steve! That is totally GREAT news! You are really turning yourself
around and doing it your way! That you can walk to work really makes
me, the car hater, proud as every time we do not drive it's that much
less poison in the air. <G> You are doing great with your quit to
boot, so the Original Yodeling Gnomes are heading your way to sing
songs of smobriety to help you celebrate this milestone [and maybe
help with some decorating???].

Congratulations on finding a job and a place to live!
Huge pat on back for 1/4 OF too - you've been a rock to many new quits.

Also don't worry ahead to the month of November! Next month is not here
yet. Don't induce a self-fulfilling prophecy...

One of the biggest lessons that I learned 18 months into my quit was to
quit worrying!

It is not easy to quit worrying because once it is ingrained we tend to
continue to do what we have always done until we decide to change it. It
involves changing our thoughts - because really what good is it going to
do for you mentally and emotionally and even physically if you worry in
advance of a debt that is not due until next month?

There are so many things that can change financially between now and
when it is due. Try to soothe your mind and spirit - seek calmness
because you deserve it.

cheerios,
robbster

Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking, as the high
levels of Vitamin C, A1, B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium
and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of
nicotine withdrawal.

You go ON with your bad self.
I've missed you a lot. And I, too, am about to hit MMMM.
I'm so proud of you for not smoking through all this shit. I haven't
smoked through my shit, but my shit isn't as bad as your shit.

I want to hear more about this job. You sound much happier and I'm
glad. I do agree with you, though, that it do sound as if you're
battling depression, and I do think it's something that needs to be
addressed. You don't have to live with depression. You really don't.

Know that I'm sending you lots of love and hugs and post as soon as
you can QB!

Love
Ashley

:-D

Thrilled to see you back and mighty proud of ya, too!

{{{{{{{Steve}}}}}}

- Jaime

I have achieved nine months, two days, 16 hours, 9 minutes and 14 seconds,
of smoke-free living (and, with it, rather aggressive driving). This amounts
to 8270 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,963.87, and adding 4 weeks, 17
hours, 10 minutes to my fabulous life.

Steve, this is just great - new home, new job, going to school. When
I was waiting for messages to download I though about you and was
worried because it seems we hadn't heard from you in awhile. I'm sooo
happy things are going well. Now, maybe that depression will ease up
a bit.
