| | | Spring cleaning and quit diary Today I started on my spring cleaning by attacking a pile of old
calendars and other papers from a long time ago. Among them, I
discovered a steno pad that I had used to make daily entries of my
quitting progress.
I had completely forgotten doing this and even forgot that I had quit
for three months before caving in. Didn't start over until about six
months later. It was really strange reading over those entries and
looking through all the wall calendars I had saved from that time.
Well, I ditched a lot of the old paperwork from that time, but I will
never get rid of that little diary or the calendars that I maintain to
this day. They have done their work well and I trust I will never
really need them again. But one never knows, do one?
In fact, I got such pleasure reading over my old struggles, that the
spring cleaning got forgotten and will have to be resumed some other
day.
Another thing I will never forget is how very important AS3 was, and
still is, to my remaining on its quitlist. I thank you all, past,
present, and future, for helping me make my life smokefree.

writing in when I quit drinking in 1996. It was very interesting reading,
and all the way through it I talk about sickarettes and how that needs to be
next.
With hope and heart,

I sure understand this. I started cleaning my garage a couple of
years ago but didn't get very far. I have so much of my mother's
"sentimental junk" from when she was in her teens and early twenties
(the 1920s and 1930s - newspaper clippings, pictures, scrapbooks, play
programs, report cards, year books from high school and college) that
was so much fun to read. It would take me 2 or 3 hours to go through
just one box and I've got boxes of no only her stuff but mine as well.
Then the weather got too hot to spend much time out there and that was
the end. I never got back to it, but I need to. It's either do some
organizing in there or buy a shed for my gardening equipment.
