hmmmmm. Wayne posed some great questions.
And great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from
mediocre minds.

into an on-topic post. For example, we can discuss the concept of being non-smoker
vs. the event of quitting. For soem, though, the event is the main idea. And so

Not everything here is directly on topic and most like it the way it

The thoughts that I post here are not really related to quitting smoking.
They are just random thoughts about just about everything. Sometimes,
they're good, some times they're not so good, and sometimes they are just
weird And best of all, reading them is absolutely optional.

There was a thread where we were to choose between People and Time
magazines.
Based on your thought of the day, small minds read People magazine and
average minds read Time magazine.
He's suggesting that your thought should be posted in that thread. |

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing attributed to the person who is
credited for first "thinking" them, if available. Seems like if
you're willing to go through the research to find them, you could let
us know who is responsible for them. But maybe that's just me.
Of course, sometime's it's not clear. For example, today's is
generally attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt, but usually without
definite citation.

No, no. I meant capitalization. When you typed TIME and PEOPLE in
all caps and again in all lower case I didn't understand you were
talking about magazines. If I'd understood that I *might* have sorted
through the typo because I *might* have figured out what thread you
were talking about. Might. Maybe.
When you write sue it implies a legal dispute. When your write it as
SUE it again might be a legal dispute. When you write Sue it's
obviously a name.
I'm sorry I brought it up in the first place. Go talk to Mike.

| | | Today's Thought discussion Hey Rob,
I have been asked this question before. In general, the author is known to
me. I just don't put it on the quote as I don't really see the significance
of it. I have said before, and will say it again now, that these are not
thoughts of mine.
As of late, it seems there have been many questions, not so much of a
criticism, but rather harsh reviews of these thoughts. They were supposed
to have you do one of three things: to make say "ahhh" or "huh?" or "What
the hell did he just say?" And to be honest with you, it is one way that
feel connected to the group every single day.
If the major opinion that these thoughts do not belong here, I will be happy
to stop them, with no hard feelings whatsoever.
I am waiting for my order

| | | Re: Today's Thought discussion Az,
Just a spot of advice here...
This is going to sound harsh but I am going to say it anyway!
You just need to keep doing your thing, stay quit, and quit looking for
constant approval at AS3. You do not have to explain anything to anyone
about your 'thought of the day' process and they do not have to read it
if it bugs them. One thing is for sure --> you can't please everybody
all the time.
By taking the time to post these thoughts - there are people here who
look forward to them everyday. Concentrate on the people that look
forward to seeing these thoughts, instead of the few that might know you
can easily be riled into puppy mode.
So, if a few people tell ya that these thoughts do not belong here, what
are you going to do? Stick your tail between your legs and run? A long
time ago a few people wanted me to go away and I am still here and not
going away unless Usenet somehow manages to die. If you think about the
people you help with these thoughts then the answer is right in front of
your nose.
