Those who cannot remember the past will spend a lot of time looking for
their cars in mall parking lots.

AZ! That makes me think of my first BF. He was at the bar one night
and got so loaded he came home in a cab. Went back the next day to
get the car and couldn't find it. Went to the police and did a stolen
car report. 4 months later it turned up a street over from where he'd
looked. It had been parked there all winter and got 'lost in the
snow' until the thaw. Goes to show you really need to take transit
both ways if you are going out drinking!

From personal experience:

Corollary 7.1.a:
Those who indulge during pre-concert tailgate parties will spend many
post-concert hours trying to find their cars in the parking lot the size of
Connecticut outside the stadium that looks exactly the same from every
angle. (Grateful Dead, Meadowlands, NJ, 1980-ish)

Corollary 7.1.b:
Those who use a fake ID to get into a dance club underage and then come out
to the parking lot to discover that their '66 Mustang has been stolen get
into trouble when they call the police to report the theft. (Club El Dorado,
Newark NJ, somewhere around 1978)

Still, there's a lot of truth in this 'thought'.

Again, you hang tough dude. You're doing this. Like, looking for your
car.... short of it being stolen... you'll find it, sooner or later.
