| | | Today's Uselsess Fact 7.13 The official name of the U.K. is the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Northern Ireland." It is the second longest county name being forty-eight
letters. The longest name belongs to "Al Jumahiriyah al Arabiyah al Libiyah
ash Shabiyah al Ishtirakiyah al Uzma" ,also known as Libya, being
sixty-three letters.
Now, is this useless or not? lol

Gee golly, AZ. It's just the sort of useless fact that will keep me
awake for countless weeks, months, years even, wondering why these
country's populaces put up with such names that no longer have much
meaning, and the second one is next to impossible to spell. Didn't
England have a bit of a dust up over its claim to Northern Ireland?
How did that ever tturn out, or is it still on the back burner? And I
would really like to know who exactly this Uzma is, and why would he
want his name attached to a country that is almost all desert?
I don't suppose that's an alternative spelling for Ozma who, as we all
know, is the beautiful and powerful Princess of Oz.
See what I mean? It might even drive me back to smoking. Heh, heh!
