| | | Two Weeks ...........4h, 22m. By the time I go to bed I'll have saved £100.00.
I am pleased although these are early days and, as I stated in my first
posts, I am having a very quite time, no many obligations
and this means almost zero per cent stress.
However, there have been triggers, two near cave in etc. I found The Junkie
Thinking Collection posted by Jef. very helpful, I've printed and often
think about those words, and I FEEL that something is sinking IN. So, I
have hope!
And, like Carol in the smokefreezone I need to be reminded. Please do so.
And could someone send some sunshine to the UK,
it is so miserable here, no damage where I live, but the constant rain it is
becoming really depressing.
A big hug to you all.

| | | Re: Two Weeks Eleonora!
I'm sending you lots of sunshine and a great big WAHOO for your two
weeks!!
We're happy to remind you why you don't put a shitstick in your mouth.
but you have your own reasons, too, so don't forget to remind
yourself.
Don't cave. Don't let the NicoDemon win. You're better and stronger
than that. And as I told Carol, I'm proudest of myself when I'm
keeping on keeping on. I've caved previously and all it did was make
me so embarrassed and ashamed of myself, I was nearly sick.
Read and post, read and post. We like hearing from you, and I'm SO
proud of your two weeks! You don't NEED to smoke. You just don't plain
NEED it, because you're on to a new healthier life.
Hugs!

| | | Re: Two Weeks Eleonora! Totally congrats on WW! They are the hardest weeks you
have to get through and you did it. Printing out the Junkie Thinking
collection is a very smart move. In previous quits I printed out my
mantra and pinned it over my workspace to remind me why I quit. Now,
I mostly just look down at my meter and that does the same thing. Do
come here as much as you can and post as often as you can. The more
you put into the group the more you tend to get out of it, IMHO.
Now, sit back and enjoy. The Yodeling Gnomes are heading your way
with loads of sunny songs of smobriety to lift your spirits and help
you celebrate this milestone!

Congratulations, eleonora66!!! You're through the worst part. You
ARE doing this. Just continue doing whatever it is that you're doing.
I'm *always* reminded of how great it is to be quit when I walk
through the produce section at the grocery. Or through the florist
section at a huge grocery near here.
I used to think flower bouquets were merely visual. It wasn't very
long after I quit that I realized they can fill an entire room with an
amazing smell.
Keep on keeping on!!

Good... you let it all sink in good and proper: you can try to stay
calm but at some point you'll need to be ready to to scream No!

Consider youslf reminded. People keep saying how nice my home
smells now, when I can still smell the smoke myself... or maybe I'm
just imagining it. I can walk outside and need only worry a little
if I forget my keys, I'd need to visit someone to get the spare
even including the keys there is now nothing I truly *have* to have
with me if I go out. It's a good feeling going for a walk without
worrying.

Congratulations on your first two weeks Eleonora! Calling the early
days though is a little bit wrong IMHO. You see, the difference
between 14 days and 55th day is almost insignificant. The difference
between the 2nd day and the 14th day was stupndously HUGE!
What I am saying, you won the major batlle, and although there are
many skirmishes ahead, you already did take care of the worst part.
And you do NOT to go back do the frist week all over again. Just think
about it!

The best I can offer is a temporary switch. I find sunshine boring,
and love rain, fog, snow and those sorta things. I would love to live
above the polar circle! So, 1 month exchange, sounds right? We have
35-40 °C these days, and it's only a one hour drive to the sea too.

I'm glad your quit is going well and that your area of England is
