| | | Update:: Mrs. Android We are home.
The ultra-sound came back negative (which is good).
But her bloodwork indicated her INR (clotting time) was outside the
acceptable range (her blood should have 'thinner') ... she was at risk
of clotting.
Although we both have some reservations, a previous clot took 2 ultra-
sounds to find. overall we're relieved.
I'm taking tonight off of work. The owner's in. Fuck 'em ... I
found out last night I'll be working the next 2 Sundays which means
I'll have Christmas Day off between now and New Year's day. I love my
job -- I hate the Service Sector. Working on Holidays should be out-
lawed ... everyone deserves a break, to live, to love, to laugh.
I love you guys. I don't know what I'd do without you all
sometimes.
With deep Gratitude and much, much Love,
Mr and Mrs Android
PS -- This song might seem 'corny', but you are all my Friends and
you all mean a great, great, great deal to me. I love you all very
much ... with tears of gratitude ... http://www.johnphoto.com/retro/withALittleHelp.html |

but I will still send out good vibes to Mrs. A. to be better fast! I
can appreciate what a scare that can be. As to working over the
holidays, yeah, that is a bite. My parents owned a tavern and we only
were closed a half day at Thanksgiving & Christmas, so yeah, the
holidays always were a stretch while I was growing up!

Glad all is working out for the best. You need to be more positive,
you have been through a lot worse.
Your family needs you to keep their spirits up specially your wife.
Go pound some dough and let it all out, you'll feel better.

<sigh> My son-in-law is a firefighter and will be at an out of town
station all Christmas day and a couple of days after. His wife, my
daughter #2, is a server in a restaurant that will be open. She
doesn't know her schedule yet but will be working sometime Christmas
Day. My son is also a server in a restaurant that will be open on
Christmas Day. He hopes for the 6 am shift so he'll be off by about
noon. Then he has a 6 or 7 hour drive to get here with his fiance. ( Daughter #3 and her boyfriend work for restaurants that are
closed on Christmas so they'll be here as will my two grandchildren.
Wish my kids would get better jobs.

Did I ever tell you 'bout the time I saw Cocker and SRV on tour
together?
Talk about some power.
So what did they suggest may have been the cause of the pain.
Working on the holidays is your perfect opportunity for what you
previously told me was what kept you so happy.
You and Mom get some rest. |

| | | Re: Update:: Mrs. Android Glad to hear the Mrs. is home and doing better.
I need to check in here more often, I didn't even know
she was in the hospital.
Hospitals are not fun to hang out in and no place to get rest.
It wears everybody out when a loved one is hospitalized.
Sounds like all the Androids got an early Christmas present by
having Mrs.come home.
Sorry bout the work schedule, I know how you feel.
When I was a young(er) cook making my way
I swore if I ever owned my own place I would not be open on Christmas
Thanksgiving or the Fourth of July.I've stayed true to that oath.
I love having that freedom and think my staff appreciates the time
with family.
Though I understand how this might not be possible for production
operations like yours.
Keep your chin up buddy, when you are at work know I'm there with you
in spirit.
have fun be brave
