Default well I'm back

after blowing my 11 month quit a year ago, I'm back
I have been wanting to give quitting another try, smoking never seemed right
after I quit, in fact I didn't like the taste at all, I was coughing again
and out of breath easily.
The final straw was when last week my 9 year old son caught me smoking, I
always made sure the kids never saw me smoke.
Well he looked at me , I could see the distress in his eyes, he whimpered "
why' ? and started crying his little heart out.
I had really let him down, he knows that smoking kills and was petrified I
was going to die.
well that was the kick in the ass I needed

I have been quit for 3D 10h 29m (3 days). I have saved $23.36 by not smoking
68 cigarettes. I have saved 5h 40m of my life. My Quit Date: 05/10/2007
12:01 AM

I don't blame you ynot! Boy that's a guilt trip huh? Poor little guy.
You've already got three days down. Glad you're back. We're here to
help. The good thing is, you've been through this so you know how. And
of course, you know why.

Read and post often. We want to hear from you.

Well, there's a good/bad situation. Good that it gave you the impetus
to quit again but bad that your son was so upset. Now, remember how
you felt when he caught you. *Never* forget that feeling.

Welcome back to and congratulations on your decision to stop being a
slave. Thank God for your kid and his compassion. You are a very lucky
quitter to have him!

I wish you all the strength, and let me congratulate you on weathering
the first and worst 3 days in your quit. It will get better from here.

But you are quitting again. That's the important thing.

ConcordPhil
I have not smoked in 3M 5h 23m. That's 92 days! I have not used any
nicotine at all since 9/03/2007.

Wow - "the kick in the ass I needed" - I guess so.
Good for you to start again - just go for it - you CAN do this!

hi there

sad to read about blowing an 11 month quit. why did you just disappear from
as3? if this new quit fails don't make the same mistake again. you stopped
smoking for 11 months.................you've proved that you don't have to
smoke if you don't want to.

never forget that there are plenty of folks here to kick you up the arse but
you have to get your arse in here before we can kick it!

welcome back and congratulations on quitting again.
