| | | What I could have been doing... As a smoker, I spent on average probably 4 minutes smoking each
cigarette. I averaged a pack a day, so that means I spent 1 hour and 20
minutes a day in the act of smoking. That's 487 hours per year. I
started when I was 13; minus the two years or so of my first quit, that
means I smoked for 31 years. 487 hours per year times 31 years means
that I spent 15,097 hours of my life sticking a cigarette in my mouth
and sucking up poison.
What a waste!

True Phil it *was* a waste but on the other hand you now have given
yourself all that extra time from now on. One day at a time from now on
Phil but your days have I hour and 20 minutes extra to do stuff in

| | | Re: What I could have been doing... Damn, Phil. That is an amazing amount of wasted time. I pulled up
the calculator and with my roughly 38 years of sucking up that poison,
I wasted over 2 years. All I can say is I am GLAD as hell that I now
have that time to do much more important stuff...

Well, there's this cute (non-smoking) woman who works out at the Y same
time as me and... well, we shall see what we shall see After all,
when my libido phase kicks in, I would really prefer to have someone to
share it with!!!
