Default When did you quit smoking?

Told my doctor yesterday when he ask me, when did you quit smoking? I
was prepared for that question so I said:

I have been quit for two years, seven months, three weeks, one days, 4
hours, 32 minutes and 10 seconds. ~~~29000 ~~~ cigarettes not smoked,
at a saving of $5,437.39.
AND - I have recouped 14 weeks, 2 days, 10 hours, 40 minutes of my
life.

Should have seen his face ~~~~LOL

And by the way Dave Perry was right!

Love Lizzy

Lizzy, what a wonderful thing to be able to tell your doctor. I never
thought of telling my doc in exactly the same way. I like my doc very
much. I have been seeing him for almost 30 years. But he maintains
an awesome kind of professionalism; never shows his real feelings. I
guess that's appropriate for a doctor. I do tell him each time I see
him, which is now maybe just once a year. He has seen me through a
couple of real health crises and he is always there for me. When I
have a problem that is out of his expertise, he always refers me to a
very competent specialist. His specialty is endocrinology so he sees
a lot of diabetics (which I am not) and people with thyroid problems,
like me. I need get my blood tested once a year to be sure my thyroid
pills are the correct strength.

I like your 29000 cigarettes not smoked. When you consider quitting
that way, it is really awesome. Congratulations, and keep on keeping
on not smoking.

I LOVE it!!! Isn't it just amazing when you think of all of those
cigarettes hat you would have smoked had you not quit smoking??? I am
approaching 8,000 not smoked. I wonder what 29,000 cigarettes would
look like all lined up in a row...what would 8,000 cigarettes look
like? It just amazes me everytime I think about quitting in terms of
how many NOT smoked.

I loved your story...it would have been good to be a little birdie in
the corner to see the doctors face when you proudly proclaimed your
stats to him!
