| | | Yesterday was one full month NICOTINE FREE! :) Good Morning Everyone,
I can't believe that I forgot to post yesterday. Yesterday was my
first full month being completely off nicotine in all its forms (I
ripped off my last patch August 21st). So...that milestone is
important to me...almost as much as the quitting smoking.
One thing I am starting to get worried about is my weight gain.
According to my scales...in just a little over a month...I've gained
almost 15#. I hope I've reached my weight plateau. I'm not
overweight right now...I've always been on the thin side...but, I can
tell that I'm already having to start wearing bigger clothes...I'm not
happy about that. I don't want to trade smoking for being fat.
I think I need to learn some self control when it comes to eating.
Smoking was always a huge appetite suppressant for me. I hardly ever
ate much...I wasn't hungry. I always preferred smoking over eating.
If I was hungry and I felt I didn't really need to eat and I was
eating out of boredom...I would smoke. Obviously, that is not an
answer now...so...what to do?!? hahaha
Anyways...life is still good. Have today and tomorrow to enjoy before
heading off to work again. I'm going to savor them.
Hope everyone is doing well with staying smoke free!

Yes, eating out of boredom is a major problem for me too. I have
started counting my calories again yesterday and hop I stick to it.
It is a very simple method that does not work for everyone, but it's
definitely worth a try.

you will stop eating because you are bored. Atleast thats what I

| | | Re: Yesterday was one full month NICOTINE FREE! :) Congratulations! Don't fret about the weight too much right now, I gained
very rapidly too. You are in the midst of quitting a deadly habit, worry
about weight later, try and make good choices now, cold water, herbal
teas, but don't get too strict, one thing at at time. You are doing
great!
Tracy.
I quit smoking November 18/2006.
I have been quit for 10M+.
