Natural Cures for Stress and Anxiety
Attitude and Habit Changes
Positivity is tough in a world filled with sarcasm and negativity. If you try every day to focus on more positive past achievements and to be more grateful about your current life standing, you will find less stress in your life. Affirmations get a bad rap from parodies such as Stuart Smalley on Saturday Night Live, but repeating "I can handle this" to yourself when encountering a stressful or fearful situation can work wonders. Stepping away from a stressful situation for a second and allowing yourself to relax before re-engaging in it can help you to feel like you're in control and that the situation is less problematic. Stretching, exercising or massage can help to release the tension in your body, which will lead to less mental tension. A hot bath while listening to a relaxation tape sounds kind of corny, but even if you laugh the entire time, you will be relieving stress. Some personal development authors believe that your attitude in reaction to any situation is a choice: you either choose to let your emotions take over or you choose to react in a positive way. If you can choose positivity in a stressful situation, you've already won half the battle.
Vitamins and Herbs
Being tired can make any situation stressful. Supplementing a B complex vitamin can help raise your energy and improve your nervous system. The muscle tension associated with stress and anxiety can be lessened with the addition of more calcium and magnesium to your diet. To make sure that your adrenal glands are not producing excess hormones, you can use the herbs Siberian or Panax ginseng to improve the function of your adrenal system. Anxiety herbs like kava can help for situations that seem to go on for months. When the stress is accompanied with depression, you can use melatonin or the extract from St. John's wort. Other herbs that may contribute to stress relief are chamomile, golden root, lady's slipper, muira puama, skullcap and valerian.
Other Ideas and Homeopathy
Try yoga, tai chi, qi gong or any other movement practice that can help you with relaxation. Removing caffeine and alcohol from your diet will allow your body to be more effectively regulated. To reduce the stress and anxiety, talk about your problems with people instead of holding them in. Some homeopathic remedies are in the form of tonics that contain any combination of aconitum napellus, belladonna, calendula officinalis, chelidonium majus, jequirity, vibernum opulus, argentum nitricum, gelesemium sempervirens and ignatia amara. It is best to consult a licensed homeopath before using these types of products.

Natural Cures for Stress and Anxiety:
Getting enough sleep is at the top of the priority list to stay away from anxiety.
Take up yoga, cut back on your to-do list, take a vacation, learn to practice deep breathing, avoid pushing yourself and never skip meals.

I have some other alternative natural treatments to cure Anxiety and Stress:
Aromatherapy for stress and anxiety: Plant and flower extracts are infused with base oils to create a palette of aromas that when inhaled, or experienced as part of a massage can bring relief to muscular tension and stress in the body. Essential oils such as lavender and bergamot are popular, and one can even enjoy a cup of chamomile tea to ease tension before bed.
Breathwork for stress and anxiety: Breathwork uses carefully considered and disciplined breathing techniques to reach a meditative state. The major benefit of this approach is the deep state of relaxation that can be reached via this technique.
Craniosacral Therapy for stress and anxiety: This treatment is similar to massage, except that it uses more gentle techniques and has the head, spine and pelvis as its primary area of focus. As this area is the source of the nervous system, gentle manipulation of this zone results in an alleviation of muscular and nervous tension.
Emotional Freedom Technique for stress and anxiety: Emotional Freedom Technique uses aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specifically acupressure to relieve a wide range of issues including stress, tension and anxiety.
Homeopathy for stress and anxiety: The use of like to treat like is the foundation of this natural treatment, which utilises heavily diluted remedies derived from plant and animal extracts. The repeated dilution increases their potency, with specific remedies prescribed to combat particular ailments or symptoms.
Hypnotherapy for stress and anxiety: This treatment uses hypnosis to unlock the power of the unconscious mind and effect positive changes in the life of the individual. People who are hypnotised generally feel very relaxed, which is why it is often successful in relieving stress and anxiety.
Massage for stress and anxiety: Massage is perhaps one of the more widespread natural treatments available, with a range of techniques and styles to choose from. Gentle or more vigorous deep tissue massage stimulates circulation and often leads to a reduction in muscular tension.
Meditation for stress and anxiety: Meditation is a discipline that utilises controlled breathing to free the mind of thoughts or activity. This very often leads to a more relaxed outlook, especially if practised on a regular or daily basis.
Yoga for stress and anxiety: Yoga is a discipline that combines the mental and physical, with controlled breathing and precise poses used to unify the mind, body and spirit. It is useful in easing stress as the meditative aspect of it aid in lowering blood pressure and heart rate.
