Hello, everyone!
My husband's big toe is very red, warm & swollen and he can barely walk on it. It happened all of a sudden last night. He was fine when he went to bed, then he woke up around 3 am and there it was. He's in a LOT of pain. Won't let me put ice on it because it hurts too much. Doesn't want to go to the doctor just yet... stubborn to a fault.
I did a bit of research online and it looks like it might be gout arthritis. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,
Anna

I found a website which can solve most of the problems.
So I found out that this website offer free Q&A sessions with Physicians from US.
They give direct and accurate answers to your questions on your health issues.
Their main objective is to avoid internet users from health ways and methods posted on the net which are wrong
and may bring harm more than benefit to your health (you are users right).
There is an increase in health information in the internet and their sources and truth are very much unknown.
This is why I suggest you all check out this website

yes, I know someone with similar experiences. He responded nicely to freshly juiced pineapple juice not canned, cherry juice, celery juice cucumber juice and an herb called harpagophytum procumbens. The vegetable juices and fruit juices should be separated by 20 minutes at least because vegetables and fruits together are said to make war in the stomach. He thought it felt good to gently massage it with aloe vera leaf that has been split open to provide the slippery side on the painful part. He also liked cayenne pepper tea put on the part but some people say that burns. During an attack at least he stays away from foods with purine in them such as meat. Later he likes his meat so he goes back to it and somtimes gets another attack. Someone told me that those who eat donuts are more susceptible to this so I would like to hear from you if he eats many of these.
I too suffer from this in my left foot big toe knuckle. Unlike with arthritis walking and standing makes the pain and swelling worse. My doctor gave me some samples of a topical NSAID that seems to help. It's called Pennsaid if anyone is interested.
My question is what was the last food he ate before he experience that? Two possible reason gout because of the food he ate and possible that it was bitten by an insect or something while he is sleeping. Gout should be not feel warm because when its warm and swollen big possibility of bitten by an insect. put a warm compress on it.
