    Default knee pain

For a week now, I’ve been suffering from knee pain. The left knee in particular. I’m not sure what’s causing it. I’m 22, jog regularly, have not been in any accident nor had any injury. I noticed that there isn’t any inflammation on my knee which leaves me clueless on what’s happening. I’m to see a doctor this week but do you have any idea on what this might be? Is it possible to get a joint pain without it getting inflamed? Could this already be osteoarthritis? It does lock up like I need to pop it up, by the way. Thanks for any help that you might give.

To answer your question yes it is possible that even if the knee doesn’t get inflamed, you can get that kind of pain. Do see a doctor to have it checked for possible arthritis, etc. Also ask for pain medication because from the way you described it, that really hurts a lot. For joint pains, ask your doctor about tramadol. I take it for my rheumatoid arthritis and it really helps. Just update us on what your doctor will tell you. Take care.

  3. Default Best to seek experts'advice....

Tramadol indeed is a good medicine for arthritis. However, such cases should be consulted to physicians before deciding to take any medications so as to avoid further complications. Its always best best to consult with specialists. Have you tried PhoneConsultation.Com yet?

I don't think that it is arthritis. My knees do that as well and it's definitely not arthiritis. I think it's just bad knees and poor structure. Both my dad and sister have had knee surgery so I might be next.

The best thing you do is go and see the doctor to consult whats the main cause of getting pain or whats happening of your knee...

So what the doctor say then thats the way you ask whats the best remedy of it, or the best cure.

Your not old to take an elecronic or assistive technology which you can use it... i know you can still make it...

Thumbs up Knee pain is the most common musculoskeletal complaint

Knee pain is the most common musculoskeletal complaint that brings people to their doctor.

Overuse knee injuries (including muscle strain, tendonitis and bursitis) may develop gradually over days or weeks. Pain is often mild and intermittent in the beginning and worsens over time. When muscles and tendons are stressed even slightly beyond their capabilities, microscopic tears occur. (Inflammation, which is part of the healing process, is what causes the pain). These tears must be given a chance to heal before subjected to the same activity to avoid overuse injury. Treat overuse injuries early to prevent chronic problems.

Knee pain is commonly caused by doing too much too soon when you haven't exercised for a long period of time - especially high-impact aerobics; walking, running or jumping on hard surfaces or uneven ground; excessive running up and down stairs (When you walk upstairs you are putting pressure on your knees that is equivalent to four times your body weight, when running up the stairs it can be eight times your body weight).

Knee Osteoarthritis is a common cause of knee pain. The risk increases with age. Osteoarthritis is a form of arthritis involving degeneration of the cartilage. Exercise is vital to maintain strength and flexibility of muscles supporting the knee, which reduces the stress on the knee joint.

People with knee osteoarthritis may also need to take pain medications and/or other complementary pain treatments.

Runners knee (also called patellofemoral pain or anterior knee pain) is a common cause of knee pain in young people (not just in runners). The pain is usually diffuse pain behind the kneecap. Symptoms often worsen after climbing stairs, jumping, running, or after a period of sitting. Caused by poor tracking of the kneecap, appropriate exercises prescribed by a doctor or physical therapist is the main treatment in correcting runners knee. Stay away from high-impact activity if you have this condition.

Most knee pain is treated conservatively, but there are situations in which surgery is required.

Prevent knee pain by keeping the muscles that support your knees strong and flexible. Start out slowly. Walk before you run - before you engage in a strenuous high impact activity such as jogging or running, try walking for a week. If walking causes knee pain, you shouldn't be running. Warm up and stretch before working out. Give your body a chance to recover from exercise. If you do high impact activities take every other day off. Avoid running up and down stairs and full squats.

    Default Types Of Arthritis

    Types Of Arthritis

Vata : If arthritis is due to vata, your joints will crack and pop. They become dry and are not swollen as they may be if excess vata is not the cause.

Pitta : The arthritis is characterized by inflammation. The joint becomes swollen and is painful even without movement. It often looks red and feels hot to the touch.

Kapha : In kapha-type arthritis, the joint also becomes stiff and swollen, but it feels cold and clammy rather than hot. A little movement, rather than aggravating the pain, tends to relieve it.

the most common cause of chronic knee pain and disability is arthritis... osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and traumatic arthritis are the most common forms of this disease…osteoarthritis usually occurs after age 50... the particular cartilage covering & cushioning the bones of the knee softens & wears away... the bones then rub against each other, causing knee pain and stiffness.. I don’t know why its happen to you…concerned to your doctor

I agree with what has been said, but you also need to keep in mind that the pain could be refered from the hip or lower bach (ie. sciatica). The most important thing is to see your doctor asap. Do not leave it as this could cause further problems. Oh yeah by the way jogging will excasipate the problem.

Sometimes, rest can help. Ice the knee and prop your legs up if you can. If that doesn't help or it's way too painful to even do this, the old-time course of treatment is a visit to the orthopedist who will recommend epidural shots or even back surgery.

hi! I'm sick with arthritis for 2 years. It was horrible for the first time.. until six months ago a friend of mine advised me to use such modern physiotherapy treatment method as magnetotherapy. maybe there are different ways how to treat arthritis with magnets, but I found this one - OrthoSPOK.. and I really appreciate this technology, because with each session I feel all better! and, I believe, you can also help yourself with this magneto-therapy

This is mainly due to less amount of calcium in your body. Try some calcium tablets or else try drinking lemon juice everyday. You will feel some sigh of relief.

My joint pain began late 30’s. At 40 began taking cod liver oil. Pain stopped. Further research over the next 30 years, I learned much. I found prevention is the best cure. Avoiding processed foods, refined sugars, foods, oils and lack of exercise are the leading causes of health problems, including osteoarthritis. Reseaching the internet is the best guide to total health. The best pain reliever I know is Ascorbic acid. Lots of it. Reseaching vitamin c is a great place to start for total health. …dez

I have found that most doctors are more interested in treating rather than prevention and cureing. If you can find one, treasure him, he is the rare bird in the flock. I am 79 healthy and see doctors only for injuries. I do take a ton of vitamins, mineral, supplements and herbals. My favorite internet site is
    doctoryourself.com for information.

    Hi Dear,

I would suggest you to checked yourself by a doctor immediately. Bearing pain is not at all a good idea, it can creates massive problems in future. Meanwhile, to reduce knee pain, start exercising regularly, this will helps you tighten your bones. i would like to add one more solution to heal this problem with immediate effect "flotation Therapy". Being newly introduced, this therapy has shown astonishing results in treating the health & skin related problems. For more info on this therapy, visit floatindia.com.

    thanks,

The most common type of arthritis, osteoarthritis results in damage due to wear and tear on the cartilage of your bones. Healthy cartilage is smooth which allows your joints to move freely and tough, to act as a shock absorber between your bones. Here are the helpful tips to lower your risk of developing osteoarthritis:

    1. Exercise

It can be your best tool against osteoarthritis because exercise strengthens your muscles and works to keep your joints flexible. Exercise can also help you to maintain a healthy weight (or lose weight if necessary). Obesity is often considered a factor in some types of arthritis. However, be sensible: Don't overdo high-impact aerobics such as running. And if a particular joint (for example, those in your knees, ankles, and feet) starts to suffer from overuse, change your exercise regimen. Try low-impact exercises such as walking and swimming and stretching exercises to loosen your joints, increase your range of motion, strengthen your muscles, and more important, relieve arthritis pain.

    2. Protect your knees against injury during sports, starting in your teens

Wear protective gear such as knee and elbow pads when playing contact sports or other, riskier sports such as in-line skating.

    3. Sit straight and don't slump

Your mother was right! Good posture, whether sitting or standing, can help reduce the pressure on the joints, especially those in your spine.

    4. Learn to perform your job without stressing your joints

If your job requires repetitive movement (such as typing) or movement that stresses your joints, be sure to vary your activities and working position as much as possible.

    5. Safety First

Some safety concerns that may help to prevent osteoarthritis in your daily life, for example, wear a seat belt to prevent injury to your knees (and other body parts) in case of a car accident.

i had arthritis for years and pain as described here. Several times I've used a herbal patch from my grandma's, and after few uses pain disappeared. For months i don't feel any pain at all.
I wonder, is it possible to heal arthritis with the patch? or is it temporary relief?
(for information: it's called "snogg patch", chinese herbals only, no medication - at least so it states)
hope it will help you too.
and thank you in advance for your answers

One of the main reasons behind the knee pain is over weight. If we gain extra weight our knee have to bear this extra weight. So it will not work properly and we will feel pain. So be careful about your body weight. Because we all know preventing is better than cure.

Knee pain is incredibly common now-a-days. I am also suffering knee pain these days. I suggest you must consult the doctor because most treatments for knee pain either don’t work or can even increase your risk of early joint and knee arthritis. You know some of the most common reasons for knee pain are swollen or torn ligaments, meniscus (cartilage) tears. If you are over weighted? You must walk regular because daily walk helps in reduce inflammation and pain by gently moving your knees.

    Hi,
I had an accident few years ago and had a injury for my ACL ligament. But i haven't got any operations done to it as my family doc suggested me to do some exercises and to increase my thigh muscle. I have done that and now my left knee is in a good condition. The worst thing is by the time i recovered from my left knee injury i have started getting pain in my lower right knee. I think this is due to the over stress on my right knee due to my left knee injury. Now i am able to walk and jog little bit. But feeling much pain when i climb stairs/while Skipping.

Can someone suggest me a way to get rid of this pain?

    -Raghav.
