Hi everyone, I have a friend who was scheduled for knee replacement, but in the xrays they found something weird. They then sent her for a bone scan, and today she was referred to a cancer hospital so they could interpret the bone scan for her. I know you guys aren't docs, but could this be arthritis or anything else? She can't get the results for a few weeks, and the doctor told her nothing. Also, she's in her 60s, so if it is cancer would it most likely be metastasized from somewhere else? She has been in pain for years with the knees so it seems like if it was cancer she would be dead by now. Or maybe I just don't understand cancer. Thanks for any help.
