Chronic tonsillitis / Resulting complications
This may seem lengthy but I appreciate the help and the time to read it, I feel all of what I saw may have a big impact on what the problem may or may not be.
Earlier this year I had a few bouts of what I belived to be tonsillitis. I had it 2x in one month and the tonsil never went down. I was seen by an ENT and the tonsils were removed Sept 14 of this year.
As of today I still feel some smaller lymph nodes swollen but I was told that would be normal and they may never go back to the original size due to the chronic tonsillitis infection that I had. It was so bad I no longer exhibited symptoms except fatigue. All blood tests were normal and mono was negative.
I currently still have a swollen lymph node that I'm not sure if it's new or old. I have a picture of it here: the area is circled in black.

That is me looking straight sideways (I don't think its on the back of my neck, I had to try and take this picture while holding this posture so its why I looked turned away)
I think it is on the huge neck muscle but I can't be too sure, it feels like it is when the muscle is flexed by looking right. Again this is my left side. The lymph node is squishy and movable but probably almost an inch (2.5 cm) - I am only estimating by trying to measure between finger tips. From doing what research I can it appears to be in the III group but again I'm not for sure, the lymph node is not large on the other side, although I can feel it but it is very very tiny; like the size of a pea.
I kind of have a couple questions. What does this lymph node group do? And what could be the cause? Is it likely that it is just from the tonsils? I no longer have insurance and seeing an ENT is not an option anymore, at least not unless this Universal Health care passes but that could be months.
I never had to go back for a checkup after my tonsillectomy so they don't even know what is going on anymore, not that it would matter because again, I don't have health insurance.
If it matter I am a 21 male 5' 8'' and about 140 lbs. I generally try to eat well but that doesnt always happen. Also my wisdom teeth have broken the surface of my gums
Again thank you for taking the time to read my novel XD Thanks!
PS!! The side this swelling is occuring is the side that I had the tonsil that was larger than the other one. I don't know if that helps but I thought I should throw that in just in case ;/ Also I guess sometimes I think I feel it hurting but I don't know, its definatly been there at least since the surgery

Most of our illnesses, if not all are due to our immune system's inability to fight back. The secret to good health is to strengthen our immune system and no disease can overcome the body. Now I know an immune system booster that is effective. I know coz i used it, and still am using it. If you're interested, just drop me a message on my page
