Zoloft and other antidepressants causing birth defects
Hey everyone, I know many of you have heard about the side effects of Zoloft, and many other antidepressants, affecting babies during pregnancy. Still I cannot stress enough the importance of expecting mothers to realize how dangerous taking these drugs is. Tons of information and countless studies show the correlation between birth defects and taking drugs like Zoloft during pregnancies.
For those of you who haven’t heard of this, these drugs can cause birth defects, including:
• Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension in newborns
• Anal atresia (complete or partial closure of the anus)
• Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) (hole in the dividing wall of top two heart chambers)
• Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)
• Cardiac (heart) defects
• Cleft lip and cleft palate
• Spinal bifida
• Club foot (one or both feet turn downward and inward)
• Craniosynostosis (abnormally shaped skull)
• Pulmonary Stenosis
• Infant omphalocele (abdominal wall defects)
• Neural-tube defects (brain and spinal cord)
• Pulmonary (lung) defects
If you have experienced this, or know a friend or loved one who has gone through this, please share your experiences and if you would like more information feel free to PM me. There are plenty of websites, like fdamedwarning.com, that can help you through this.
