Diabetes is serious, but you can manage it. these are some tips to control your Diabetes.
    1. Know your BMI (body mass index) number – actual and target – and take action to get to the target.
    4. Learn how to read a food label (calories, serving size, grams of carbohydrates, fats).
    5. Cut way back on the “white” foods that are poor carbohydrate choices (white sugar, white flour, white potatoes).
    6. Increase your whole grains and dietary fiber – most Americans eat less than half the fiber they need. Dietary fiber is the SMART carbohydrate choice!
    7. Drink plenty of water (unless you have been told to limit your intake of water).
    8. Cut back on fruit juice – there’s no fiber in it.
    9. Walking is good exercise.

All meals must be based on a balanced diet with the correct proportions of necessary nutrients. Too much or too little of any substance can often cause harm and bring in diseases. Your daily diet food chart should contain the right proportions of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and fiber. According to the world health organization, complex carbohydrates should contribute to at least fifty percent of the calories in the diet, while fats or fatty acids should be not more than 35 percent while the rest 15 percent should comprise protein. In order to obtain the necessary 50% of carbohydrates, you should have a good quantity of brown rice, whole wheat breads, potatoes etc. in almost all major meals clothes and vegetables should also occupy a substantial portion on your plate. Small amounts of low or moderate fat routine like lean meat, different types of seafood, lean chicken etc. should also be included in the meal. Try to keep high calorie proteins or high fatty substances such as whole milk dairy products to a minimum. The amount of calories that you consume is also dependent on your height, your weight, your age and sex and also your current status on physical activity and nutrition. I have heard about stem cell hospitals, they maybe help you about this.

    Diet for Diabetes

Diet therapy is the basis of such a treatment. The primary dietary consideration for a diabetic person is that he should be a strict lacto-vegetarian and take a low-caloric, low-fat, alkaline diet of high quality, natural foods. Fruits, nuts and vegetables, whole meal bread and dairy products form a good diet for the diabetics.

It is advisable to avoid cooked starchy foods as in the process of cooking the cellulose enveloping the starch granules burst and consequently the starch is far too easily absorbed in the system. The excess starch absorbed has to be eliminated from the system by the kidneys and appears as sugar in the urine.

With raw starchy foods, however, the saliva and digestive juices in the small intestine regulate the quantities required to be converted into sugar for the body's needs. The unused and undigested portion of raw starchy foods does not become injurious to the system, as it does not readily ferment.

The diabetic person should not keep away from eating fresh fruits and vegetables, which contain sugar and starch. Fresh fruits contain sugar, which does not need insulin for its metabolism and is well tolerated by diabetics. Fats and oils should be taken sparingly, for they are apt to lower the tolerance for proteins and starches.

Good list. But the diet should be also made under the supervision of a doctor and ask him how to keep your cholesterol levels down as well.

    Default Osteoporosis Treatment

Diabetic Diet for diabetics is simply a balanced healthy diet which is vital for diabetic treatment, however, a lot of people have the misconception that these diet consist only diabetic foods. The regulation of blood sugar in the non-diabetic is automatic, adjusting to whatever foods are eaten. But, for the diabetic, extra caution is needed to balance food intake with exercise, insulin injections and any other glucose altering activity (more information on List of food a diabetic can eat). This helps diabetic patient to maintain the desirable weight and control their glucose level in their blood. It also helps to prevent diabetes patient from heart and blood vessel related diseases. Research shows that regardless of the makeup of the diet, eating just enough calories to maintain an ideal weight is the most effective dietary strategy to prevent the onset of diabetic. I agree with all of those recommendations for the most part. Everyone I have talked to has mentioned eating/drinking habits. I also came across Olivamine through this new company called Pinnaclife. I have researched them a bit and watched some testimonials and it seems to also help with Diabetes. Have anyone else heard anything about the use of Olivamine for diabetes prevention?

Here is a simple and easy guide to having an effective diet plan:

    *
Primarily avoid overeating and take four or five small meals a day rather than three large ones.
    *
Have a glass of lukewarm water with freshly squeezed lemon juice at the start of the day.
    *
Breakfast may include any fresh fruit with the exception of bananas, soaked prunes, a small quantity of whole meal bread with butter and fresh milk.
    *
Lunch must comprise of steamed or lightly cooked green vegetables such as cauliflower cabbage, tomatoes, spinach, turnip, asparagus and mushrooms. You may also wish to include two or three whole wheat breads according to appetite and a glass of butter-milk or curd.
    *
One can indulge during the mid-afternoon with a glass of fresh fruit or vegetable juice.
    *
Follow it up with dinner comprising of a large bowl of salad made up of all the raw vegetables in season. The salad may be followed by a hot course if desired and fresh homemade cottage cheese.
    *
If u want to have a bedtime snack go ahead and have a glass of fresh milk.

this helps my dad and he's also taking MX Omega 3 Extra. i hope those tips would help!

Include Bitter gourd in you diet as it helps in lowering blood sugar efficiently. Garlic is rich in potassium and it helps in replacing the potassium that you lose out in your urine.
Include lot of soluble fiber in your diet like apples, soybean, oatmeal, and kidney beans as these help in slow digestion and the right absorption of nutrients. Make sure you include more fluids in your daily diabetic diet chart. Eat brown rice instead of white rice. Avoid fruits like mangoes & bananas that are high in sugar levels. Avoid drinking & smoking rather quit it completely.

Include in the diet foods that are rich in nutrients and low in fats and calories. Consume more vegetables and fruits as they will help you detoxify your body. Taking in small large meals five times a day is better than having heavy meals three times everyday. It is always best to seek for professional help of a dietitian for diabetic people. They are knowledgeable in keeping your blood sugar on normal level.
