    Default Gluten Free Cleanse?

    Hi everyone!

    I'd love some advice...

I知 considering doing a gluten free detox for weight loss.

It sounds pretty easy, but I知 not sold on it yet. Basically you eat mostly vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and beans and you cut out all meat, dairy, breads, pastas, desserts, and processed sugars.

I知 really looking for something to kick start better eating and shed these last 5 pounds. Has anyone done a vegan gluten free detox? Is it easy to stick with? Should I do 3 days or 6??

    Thanks!

    Cathy

    Default Cleanse

Sounds a bit like "Clean" by Alejandro Junger. He advocates a 3 week clean where you cut out gluten, dairy, some types of meat, alcohol, sugar, coffee and some other stuff. It seems to help a lot of people, but most of them had pretty poor diets or were fairly ill. If you are fit and have a good diet, I can't see the point in a long detox. I did a 3 day detox once just drinking juices and smoothies and I did feel pretty good for 2 days. The 3rd day I began to feel very hungry and a bit week.

Although there are lots of gluten free alternatives, I wouldn't go gluten free unless you are gluten intolerant.
