    Default Overweight and Fit

Hi, I am 21 years old and pretty overweight. I am only 5'9" and am at 260lbs right now. The highest I have weighed was 277 but I have been up and down between 270 and 225 the last two years. Although I am obese I feel that I am still in very good shape. I recently got blood work done to check my triglycerides, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc. and when I received my results, all of my levels were within normal range. I also play a lot of basketball, about 3-5 hours a day full court or for at least 1 hour on an off day, and I am always able to run hard continuously on both offense and defense without getting winded. I also work at a job that is physically demanding and I am able to do it well without becoming tired. My question is, is it possible for me to be fit although I am very overweight?

    Hi danp,

Hope u r doing well. Best part with u is that u still feel a good shape, it means u r not have basics problem by weight. So u only need to control the situation. Playing BB is itself a hard exercise. It's prove that u r active in life. Only avoid extra calories and stay away from depression. Continue with ur daily and enjoy ur self.

You should eat a good diet and do a regular exercise for weight loss.

When you are determined to achieve your goal, you will succeed in it. Keep an active lifestyle and maintain a healthy diet plus enough hours of sleep and lots of water you will be as fit as anybody who have the mentioned fitness habit. Have more patience with the process, it will definitely take time. Making it a habit will surely deliver you what you really wanted.
