Over the weekend, the Grand Westside Hotel officially opened to the public. Touted as the Philippines' biggest botel, this new property in Parañaque isn't just your average staycation spot. Here's what you can expect when you visit Megaworld's latest hotel property.

As its name suggests, the Grand Westside Hotel is located right at the heart of Megaworld's 31-hectare Entertainment City development—the Westside City township. This new development sits along the Manila Bay area, which means its guests will get a stunning view of the famed Manila Bay sunset whether they stay at the hotel or dine in one of the many restaurants that will open in the area.

The Grand Westside Hotel may look overwhelming, with rows upon rows of windows and balconies, but once you step foot inside, you'll be warmly greeted by a modern, relaxing lobby with high ceiling, touches of tropical elements, and natural materials like wood and stone. 

The Grand Westside Hotel claims to be the biggest hotel in the country, boasting 19 storeys and 1,530 rooms, including presidential suites that feature their own living, dining, and kitchen spaces perfect for hosting intimate gatherings or luxe staycations. 

But everyday travelers will have their pick of other room types, such as the Queen Suites, Twin Suites, and Executive Suites. The hotel will also have dedicated rooms designed specifically for specially-abled guests.

Aside from rooms you wouldn't want to leave, you'll also get access to a variety of amenities designed to make your stay more memorable and, dare we say, grand. The property features an expansive pool area with a view of the Manila Bay sunset, along with a children's pool, a gazebo, and a zen garden with an outdoor seating area surrounded by colorful foliage. 

If a bit of R&R is what you're planning to get during your stay, you can count on Grand Westside Hotel to deliver. They have wellness facilities which include massage rooms. There's even a gym if you want to squeeze in a workout.

The property boasts function rooms that can host both intimate celebrations and big gatherings. They also have an Executive Lounge for VIP guests looking to dine and perform business functions requiring boardrooms or meeting rooms.

Back in 2019, Megaworld announced its plan to develop Westside City into a bustling district right by Entertainment City and Manila Bay. Once the development is complete, The Grand Westside Hotel will be connected to the upcoming Westside Resort complex, a vast entertainment complex featuring four theaters that could house a variety of live performances, including concerts and musicals. The largest of these theaters will be The Grand Opera House—a first of its kind for the Philippines, boasting a 2,000-seat capacity.
