Supersetting hyperextensions and crunches!
Specifically, the Roman chair and machine crunches!
Anyone else notice? I get more power from my crunches right after
doing hyperextensions -- and vice-versa -- even on the third or fourth
high-rep set!
I do 50-60+ reps at 64kg on the Nautilus Nitro ab crunch, and usually
I can only do 50-60 reps on the very first set, even after a minute's
rest! But supersetting yesterday between that and the hyperextension
(jumping from one exercise to another with no rest), I was able to do
50 reps even on my third set of crunches at that weight!! Later sets
were still pretty high rep, at 25, 20, 15....
Another other exercises which complement one another like this?? Now
I'm wondering if I can superset bench presses and, I dunno, t-bar rows
or something...!
I used to love supersetting biceps and triceps, but I'd never though
of abs and hyperextensions before for some reason. Duh!
