Default Allowed list

A question for the computer techno dudes;

Is it possible with Outlook Express to create an "allowed list" instead of a
kill-file?

I ask this because there are still an endless amount of different
cross-posters here. Sure, i could kill-file the cross-posters, but i think
its easier to create a list with people whos messages i want to see.

And besides, there seem to be new cross posters and a lot of spammers
lately.

You could use Message Rules to Mark Message as Watched where the From line
contains [allowed users] and also select the Stop Processing More Rules.
Then add a rule to run AFTER the other rule(s) for All Message where the
action is Delete It.

While you're testing that, you may want to make the final rule to flag the
post with a specific color instead of deleting it. That way you have all of the
posts available while you fine-tune your allowed list.

Alternatively, set up some rules to flag posts by the posters you like by changing
the color. Again, this makes it easier to see what (or who) you've left out accidentally.

Good call; although if he did delete stuff accidentally I doubt he would be
missing much !!!

I just realized that kill-filing is ineffecient.

It doesnt stop the spammers and some trolls change their name and E-mail all
the time.

And there are about 25 rugulars here, so that shouldnt be a problem.
