| | | Arimidex? My estrogen level is at 270!! and I guess its time for some kind of
anti-aromatase. QUICK.
Is Arimidex (anastrozole) the best, and do you use it ALL the time? My
endocrinologist has me on T replacement full time.. she's not talking about
tapering off anytime in the near future because she has a hard time keeping
me near 800. I suppose because it aromatizes into Estrogen?
Side Effects of Arimidex:
hot flashes, joint symptoms, weakness, mood changes, pain, sore throat,
nausea and vomiting, depression, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, swelling
of arms/legs, and headache. Fractures (including fractures of the spine,
hip, and wrist) occurred more frequently with ARIMIDEX than with tamoxifen
(10% vs 7%).
I have to do something, but Arimidex has some bad write ups on this page: http://www.askapatient.com/viewratin...&name=ARIMIDEX

Honestly, this value has gone up within the two weeks only. The previous

Richard,
I'm no expert in this realm but I have heard mixed reviews about
Arimidex vs. Nolvadex. Some people swear by Arimidex and some swear by
Nolva. I would choose whichever you have easier access to. And quick!!!
--Sir Jackery
PS. Personally I have been told by friends to trust Nolva, not that there
opinion is in any way expert. |

Well, well. My good ole doctor has left me HIGH AND DRY. She's fucking short
with me on the phone... won't talk about Arimidex, Proviron, Nolvadex, etc.
'course, I can't blame her. This all started because my T was naturally low
and she brought me back up to normal, and beyond with T cypionate. But.. now
she doesn't want to get into this any deeper. Here I am stuck with high E
and no chance but to order from an online pharmacy and hope for the best, or
grow boobs and a vagina (thx David). Really, its just the water retention
and fat that are bothering me.
I could stop everything now including the T injections, and go back to my
90-year-old man T levels with high-normal E levels.
QUESTION 1: What do most bodybuilders try to keep E1 and E2 below?
QUESTION 2: What is best while on T cypionate: Proviron, Nolvadex, or
Arimidex?
QUESTION 3: Or does anyone know of a "good" male hormone MD in the US who
"treats" patients remotely?
I wasn't asking my doctor to do anything illegal.. just to keep my fricken
values IN RANGE. SHIT. She isn't worth a damn.

Maybe I'm worried for no reason. I just read that SOME estrogen is required
to build muscle. Not sure why. Anyone know? And how much E2 is too much?
ALSO.. acne.. it must be from high E2 because my T is lower than it was last
month, but E2 is really high and now I have this acne problem. I thought it
was from the oil in the shots, but now I see the acne problem is more
correlated with E2.

arimidex: stops conversion by 80%. nolvadex blocks the effects on the
receptors... arimidex is expensive on black market but if script then ok.. i
read 1/2 - 1 tab per day is sufficient.
for same effect from nolva, it needs to be stacked with proviron, which
causes negative hypothialamus feedback.... stops your own balls
working.also... i not sure if that even gives the best result over the
two... |

Personally, i would go for Proviron.

There is a BIG chance that doctors will lower the dosage to 100mg/week.
You dont want that, do you?

Richard, those side effects were found in post-menopausal women WITH cancer!
It doesnt make sense to give Arimidex to pre-menopausal women wihout cancer.
Or pre-menopausal women.
Doctors dont prescribe it to males. Just like some other drugs, like
Pregnyl. Have you read the side effects of Pregnyl?
And its one of those drugs, that a lot of doctors will be looked upon as a
female drug, like Clomid.
I once read a lot of nasty things about nandrolone and oxymetholone.
The subjects? Psychotics. Seriously.

YAHOOOO!!!!! I FOUND A GOOD DOCTOR THIS TIME! He is ordering some blood
tests and plans to Rx me for Arimidex, LH injections, testosterone
injections, and even HGH (to bring me back to "normal" levels, of course).
What a rollercoaster ride this has been.

Sounds like a start, Richard. I haven't had any side effects (aside from
back hair growth...and now some new sprouts on my shoulders) of taking
testosterone and deca to keep my bone marrow working (we ran out of deca
recently due to a stuff up with ordering it from a formulary pharmacy in
the US...my platelet count dropped by 70k in less than 7 days...).
However, we haven't been keeping track of my estrogen levels. I'll ask
my doctor about that next week. I've heard HCG mentioned (Pregnyl) and
we used that in me for a long while to increase my sperm counts. The
only side effect: a baby.

If you go on ari you may also want to take vit d and cal citrate too.
Joint pain doesn't happen only in women. http://record.wustl.edu/news/page/normal/6909.html

Richard,
You HAVE to get a new MD. To be honest, I would start with some Nolvadex
so it will bind at the receptor sites with the Estrogen and then get
some Arimidex to stop the conversion. I take .5 mg 3 times/week and it
works perfectly for me.

Richard,
Are you having any side effects from the Estrogen? If you are not, I
would not panic.

Ari,
I thought you had found some Anadrol? Does EPO not work for you?

Hi Rob,
We did try Anadrol at the end of 2004 when my counts were in the 'bleed
out or die from infection' ranges. It brought my platelet count up, but
it also made my liver VERY unhappy. On the bright side, the effects on
my liver allowed me to lose more than 20 pounds in a month, but then
again, a brain tumour would have done the same and felt about the same, too.
I am wayyy too far along for EPO to have any effect. My body has been
producing massive amounts of it since this all started.
Cheers,

Yep.. I probably shouldn't panic. Just a little water retention and
difficulty getting under 9% body fat.

Ari,
How much Anadrol did you need to take? I never used more than 2/day for
more than 6 weeks, but I know the dosages for Aplastic Anemia are WILDLY
high, around 250-300 mg/day, so at that dosage, I can see why one's
liver would be crying! Do they ever just give you transfusions? My crit
got down to 11 once when my old Nephrologist would stop my EPO instead
of just cutting the dosage. I was FUCKED. I had to get a transfusion,
but it made me feel like a new man VERY quickly. I was back on EPO last
year for a while, but my blood work has been much better lately. Good
luck with all of this. I still remember talking to you about Anadrol
initially.

You can't blame her? Well, why the heck not? She prescribes something
for you but then offers no follow-up care?

Sadly, at least from your posts, I'd have to agree with you there,
Richard. Have you tried another doctor in your local area?

Like most endocrinologists around here, they seem to only treat overweight
women with diabetes. They'll give a man T injections sometimes, but if you
go as far as asking for "extra" help where they have to Rx OTHER drugs, they
seem to get worried about being put on the DEA watch list. I guess. Or, she
was just being lazy. I suppose both.

Yesterday I found a doctor about 1 hour from me who will Rx Arimidex or
whatever it takes to get my values back in range while staying on T
injections. But I just got me estradiol results in this morning, and its not
as bad as I thought. E1 is sky high but E2 is just a little elevated. Its
about 10pg/mL higher than before I started T.
