| | | Arms go numb Its normal for your arm to go numb if you cut the circulation off. You know
how your arms go numb at night if you lay on them?
Well, after I do an intense upper workout then my arms go numb much more
easily at night, just by bending my arms in the smallest way, the damn
things go numb.
This wears off a couple days later (by the time I do the next workout on the
arms). Anybody get this? My cardiologist said it doesn't have anything to do
with my heart.
What's going on? Its annoying. I'm afraid this doesn't sound good. And damn
it, my new year's resolution was to get bigger arms.

OK - will try it

Only drink on new years
btw, I'm getting T shots and been doing a lot more upper work lately. My
arms go numb when I'm laying on my back, even with my arms just slightly
bent. The numbness is everywhere, triceps, biceps, forearm.. anywhere I
exercised intensly that day.
Thanks

Try some mineral supplements, particularly Magnesium.
How much alcohol do you imbibe?

In that case, I modify the suggestion.
Balanced Cal/Mag/Phos supplement.
I use "Now" brand. Inexpensive and it works.
I get numbness in my hands and arms when my Mag levels get low along
with a slightly elevated heart rate. I have a documented problem tho'
with low Mag levels.
Those are just the symptoms that tell me I need to take more. I keep it
on hand.......
Alcohol consumption can make it worse for some people.
Doc says it's a renal defect.
Might not hurt to get some blood testing done.

I have had arms go knumb when I was really tired. I tend not to roll
over as frequently and I end up sleeping on an arm or something for to
long a period. Nothing like what you are describing though. |

Today I'm working the arms again, and tonight my arms will go numb again
without fail. I'm seeing my doc this week.. blood pressure has been falling
since getting the T injections. |

Well that certainly could be a factor. The situation I described
occurs because the circulation is pinched off. But also because my
circulation isn't very good to begin with. I knew a girl at work who
would sometimes stop breathing while sleeping. She used to sleep on
the floor a lot. I don't know if that was related. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
