Default Best sport headphones for running & cycling?

Hy guys!
What are the best headphones for sport activity, espeically running and
cycling?
They need to be sweat & water resistant (summer can be very hot) and
they must stay in the ear easily.
And, another thing, i would like to spend less than 20 pounds (40$)...
I have looked at the many sennheiser models (omx 70, mx70...) beacuse
they are easy to find here in italy... any suggestion?

Thanks!

I take it that being able to hear approaching traffic when cycling and
thus reducing the risk of injury is not a consideration?

Thanks Richard for the suggestion.... i use it just on 1 ear.
I'm not joking.
More important is that the one on the ear does'nt move or fall or else
Must not be an (insulating it is correct?) one

That argument is pretty bogus. It assumes that one can hear traffic
approaching from behind(which is difficult when you factor in wind noise),
and that one could react quickly enough to avoid an accident. Anyone cycling
on the roads should be using a rear view mirror, anyway. Plus, don't
motorcyclists pretty much cut off their aural inputs, once wind noise,
helmet, and engine noise comes in to play? The only argument against
headphones/earbuds that makes sense that wearing them while cycling is
illegal.

No, even in a car with the windows rolled up sound is an important
enough factor that earbuds would make me crazy. About the only people who
aren't going to hear what's going on around them are the folks in a car with
the music blasting loud enough that you can hear them coming a block away.

If they are illegal wouldn't there be a reason for that?

Yes - foolish and/or misguided legislators, who themselves are not
cyclists. The same who have imposed compulsory helmet laws in some
countries...and whose attempts to do so have been rejected in others.

WTF LOL California just passed a law *requiring* earbuds, headsets or
speaker phones for those fools who spend all their life hooked up to a
telephone.

http://www.aimncom.com/mc_news/cst2cst/2006/1006p.html

"CALIFORNIA GOES HANDS-FREE California lawmakers have joined New York and
New Jersey in requiring drivers to use hands-free headsets, earbuds or
speaker phones.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed the ban on handheld cell phone use while
driving, and the new law goes into effect in July 2008. Violators face a
whopping $20 base penalty - local fees can be added in - that rises to $50
for subsequent offenses."

While at the same time:

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc27400.htm

27400. A person operating a motor vehicle or bicycle may not wear a
headset covering, or earplugs in, both ears. This prohibition does not apply
to any of the following:
(a) A person operating authorized emergency vehicles, as defined in Section
165.

(b) A person engaged in the operation of either special construction
equipment or equipment for use in the maintenance of any highway.

(c) A person engaged in the operation of refuse collection equipment who is
wearing a safety headset or safety earplugs.

(d) A person wearing personal hearing protectors in the form of earplugs or
molds that are specifically designed to attenuate injurious noise levels.
The plugs or molds shall be designed in a manner so as to not inhibit the
wearer's ability to hear a siren or horn from an emergency vehicle or a horn
from another motor vehicle.

(e) A person using a prosthetic device that aids the hard of hearing.

And ta think! They'll let a deaf person ride a bike or operate a motor
vehicle! LOL, at least they're not singling out just bike riders and they're
letting you have one earbud. Too funny, I thought you guys was kiddin' about
there bein' a law.

Keeping one or both ears free to hear external noise.

Thereby keeping one or both ears free to hear external noise.

A person with impaired vision must wear corrective lenses--and ta think!
they'll let a blind person ride a bike or operate a motor vehicle.
