Years ago my cholesterol was 99. The last time I had it checked, May
12, 2006, it was recorded at 143. I was always pretty pleased that I
had low numbers. Until I read the article that stated people with
excessively low levels are prone to greater instances of cancer,
depression, and suicide. D'OH!
I joked with friends and, hey, anyone within ear shot (or Usenet
shot!) that I'd be the one to get cancer, become depressed, and then
commit suicide. haHA!

Nice blog. Regardless, research says a lot. We do what we can do. No
one's living forever, right? And if there IS some immortal person out
there, I suspect they're keeping a very low profile.
