| | | Re: Body building If you are asking if you will see results if you train after work, then yes.
If you're asking if training in the morning will hinder your progression,
then No.
i read that testosterone levels are higher in the morning so it is an ideal
time to train... now, if that is due to the 8hrs sleep most will have had, i
dont know...!
If after working a late, you have the energy (keep well fed) to hit the gym
hard, then go for it. you'll get the same results than at any other time i
believe.
I work shifts, and it is defo harder to train after a shift than before, but
1/2 an jhour into it, and i get the taste, if ya know what i mean!
Hope this helps...

The best exercise program is the one you actually do. Just find any
schedule you can live with, and we'll be happy to help you tweak things
from there. Certainly there's nothing wrong with going to the gym after
work, regardless of your schedule - unless it doesn't feel right to you.
If you just feel like you need to sleep after your work shift, then
that's what you should do, and find another time in your day to workout.
Personally, I find I'm much happier lifting early in my day - it makes
my day better so I've grown to like that schedule.

I tend to be able to lift more and push myself harder towards the end of
the day rather than the beginning.

You could also have a dynamic schedule for the gym and just go at whatever
time of day feels right. Perhaps some days you'll have more motivation
before work, some days after work, some days during your lunch break, etc.
Sometimes I go to the gym at 7:00am, sometimes 11:00pm.

That's one of the huge advantages of having a home gym, IMHO. If you
feel like doing one more set of cleans before bed you don't have to
drive to the gym.

I would kill for a home gym. Unfortunately, the apartment manager lives
in the unit beneath me. When I move I'll probably invest 5-15k in a nice
home gym.

Kill Jason and take his gym.
Welcome back, Jason.

Thanks Pete. I didn't really leave, I just switched jobs and needed
some time to get situated. It would appear that I have less
enthusiasm for the weights if I don't get my daily dose of MFW, so I
am back to reading more regularly and posting when appropriate. As
odd as it seems to me it would appear that I find MFW to be
inspirational.
