Glad you weren't hurt.

Never caught a cleat on a bicycle/road action, but hit a floorboard on
the macadam while doing a demo ride on a Harley one year. Bloop! Right
off the road, but didn't dump her. Just rode alongside the road in the
grass until I could safely return to the street. D'OH!

Are you still using old-style cleats? Those things are suicide. Go with SPD
pedals and shoes, you'll never look back.

If you'd just stop getting liquored up before getting on the bike this kinda
shit wouldn't happen.

I once came hauling ass off a trail on my mountain bike and as I turned on
to the street, crashed in a slick puddle of water. For some reason a film
crew was right there. Director asked me if I could go back and do it again
so he could get the shot.

BTW why aren't you posting these bike posts to bike groups? None of the guys
in mfw even go outside to exercise except you and me, right?

You must have leaned her a whole 20 degrees! Scary.

You still a virgin? I was down like a score of times (literally).

I've left some skin on the road as well.

The worst was locking up the rear tire around a corner on gravel while
trying out a Ninja 750 - after rugby practice. Yeesh.

I was used to the older UJM and lots of flywheel effect. Now I'm all
about slipper clutches on sports bikes...

Your father?

Hope he is ok. I really value mine. He moved in with me after mom died.

This is a GOOD thing.

Take care!

Good for you. I envy people who have good parents. I wish I'd had a good
relationship with my dad but he was not a great guy. The only upside with
bad parents is that you don't feel so terrible when they die.

I have mixed feelings about that concept... I understand.
My mothers death was very devastating for me.
