Default Difference between dumbell deadlift and dumbell squat?

Hi,
Just trying to confirm the difference between d/b deadlifts
and d/b squats. With the deadlift when you are ready to lift is the back
leaning forward (although straight of course)whereas with the d/b squats
you start to lift with the back upright? Any other important differences
in form that I should be aware of?

Thanks.

Most folks I know consider the dumbbell DL/SQ the same lift. It's like
a trap bar DL, namely something that's part squat and part DL.

Yes, been having a further look round the net and they are
essentially the same. Thanks for your comment.
