You are, in my opinion, contradicting yourself. Three months equals
about 12 weeks, right? A "healthy diet/calorie plan" would allow for
about 24 lbs. of fat loss. You're losing too much weight if you see
the scale drop by 50 lbs.

Regardless of my concern, a combination of weights and cardio would be
recommended.

Twenty minutes of cardio and only four times a week? Not enough. I was
doing five sessions of cardio each week as a minimum.

That's been my bestestest buddy and online I-trained-Olympia-
competitors AND I-use-my-real-name hero, Rob Schuh's advice. Lose the
fat first and then build the muscle. Wait, I think that was actually
in response to gaining muscle while losing fat. No matter, I'd still
recommend five or six sessions of cardio per week as well as at least
three sessions with the weights.
I've read also that keeping your heart rate under 130 beats per minute
is best for fat loss versus a more intense cardio.
