Was Googling for an article re maggots in wound healing. There's a
news bit in the local paper and I was looking for the online version.
Anyway, stumbled across this bit in Diabetes Health magazine:

>From fifty-pound weakling to veritable Sampson, Doug Burns has taken
type 1 diabetes to the heights of success. But when the police took
him for drunk during a low blood sugar episode, the pepper spray came
out and Mr. Universe went down. We have his story of success and his

The man's got diabetes. He's a shining example of someone with health
problems, but who has overcome that obstacle or is working at having a
healthy life in spite of his, what many would call, problem. So,
here's the question: Is he on steroids? Can someone achieve that level
of success without anabolics? I'd like to think that, although mother
nature, God, whatever, dealt him diabetes, that he also received the
genetics, drive, etc. required to be a champion without drug
assistance.
Bodybuilding is pretty much tanking as a sport so far as general
public perception is concerned, but this guy seems like a great
spokesperson.

And, apparently, he's written a book. Cool.
