The answers to your original questions, all of which have been asked
many times here and elsewhere, are available on the Internet. Please do
as I originally suggested and search on the expression ECA Stack. The
Wikipedia article is a fine place to start because it contains links to
a few other articles. In addition, there are diet-specific newsgroups
(note that misc.fitness.weights does not include the work "diet") on
which you could ask your questions.
Nota Bene: Those of us who've been around here for at least a little
while often don't like to simply answer the questions asked for a simple
reason - people often ask the wrong questions. You can start by telling
us your age, sex, height, weight, bodyfat percentage, exercise
background, any current medical restrictions, any current exercise
restrictions, the last time you saw a doctor, etc., so that we can get
an idea of the big picture in your case, and _then_ some folks here
might decide to give you a more detailed opinion, and please note that I
said opinion, not answer. Absent that information, go Google yourself,
please.
You're welcome.
