Default Exercising with DOMS?

Hi,

I had a heavy leg (for me) workout on Saturday, today I have
quite severe DOMS in my legs. I would like to do a chest workout on
Monday is there any reason that I shouldn't? Am I right in thinking that
DOMS is a localised problem and that provided I dont attempt a leg
workout until they have recovered I should be ok working other muscle
groups?

Yes, you are right. DOMS is localized and you can certainly work chest
on Monday.

A LIGHT leg workout will help relieve DOMS.

No, but there is a reason why you should. Your soreness will go away
quicker if you train around it.

Do attempt it. Severe soreness is a show stopper, but some soreness is
fine. Your body will adapt to recovering quicker if you train through
some soreness.

Lower-body soreness should not interfere with Your upper-body workout.
But do not skip Your next lower-body workout. Many people find that
another workout 2 or 3 days latter is one of the best ways to sooth
DOMS. In the mean time, some static/passive stretching should help take
the edge off.
