This "troll" wonders why this ng has a lot of people believing things
that are not true?
Like how thyroid disorders MIGHT, express MIGHT, account for 1 in one
million fatasses reasons for being fat.
The VAST majority of people are fat because they EAT TOO MUCH FOOD
and/or do not exercise, not even 10 minutes per day.
How does this all make me a troll again? |

i didn't discuss THAT........ you said 'as if' when i indicated that my
thyroid went south, i didn't get treatment for it, and i gained weight
you will have to poll people with thryoid yourself to find an acceptable
number that isn't something you pulled out of a hat
in other words...... it wasnt' worth answering that comment as it's not

I AM superior. I have self discipline, a quality sadly missing from obese

Such a sad attitude. There are other reasons for being overweight
besides discipline. Some meds cause weight gain and the docs don't
always tell you which ones - so people are out there taking meds,
gaining weight and can't figure out why. There are others who weren't
overweight but may have had some kind of injury or accident that limits
exercise and sometimes you eat less and less at that time and still gain
weight. There are also hormonal problems (with both men and women).
There are some diseases that cause weight gain. Each individual is
different. You can't just say "if so an so had self discipline, they
wouldn't be overweight" It doesn't work that way. |

If you exceed the number of calories needed to maintain your current
weight you WILL ALWAYS gain weight.
Excuses do not excuse the truth about weight gain.
Calories do count, every time and all the time. |

So, with that philosphy and your superior self control, you must also

It isn't rocket science, it's simple. If too many calories are going in than
can be used, obesity results. If you have a condition that may result in
weight gain, take the appropriate steps.

no one is denying that one fact, why are you intentionally denying the
other facts in regards to obesity and it's causes?
intentionally denying the rest of the facts while being obsessed with
only one, demonstrates your lack of honesty and integrety at the very
least. |

Yep. Why have "fat acceptance" at all? Just like people who dress slovenly
and are denied entry to a cocktail party, they scream discrimination. There
is no discrimination, just standards to be met to be a part of something.
Obese people refuse to meet those standards and expect special treatment.
Well guess what, it ain't gonna happen. Just lose some weight.

When you have life changes physically, or medications change - people
don't always know how much they are going to have to cut back or may not
realize that they do until they start gaining weight - once you start
gaining - it makes losing all that much more difficult. It isn't a
black and white issue like some people like to make it. Age also has a
lot to do with weight gain. Who could eat all the pizza they wanted
while in high school and college and now gain weight just thinking about
eating pizza. |

The fact that overeating causes fatness is so great and important that
all those other 'factors' are not important enough to mention.
Hypothyroidism could be a factor in fatness BUT in perhaps one in a
million fat people.
Overeating is the main rain, focus on the main reasons. |

Because it is NOT a fact. If you two actually checked your so-called facts
before spouting your drivel, you might know what the hell you are talking
about. Unfortunately, you seem not be interested in doing so, and continue

People like him and his sidekick always know what they are talking
about.
Obese? Just stop eating.
Alcoholic? Just stop drinking.
Drug addicted? Just say no to drugs. (That worked so well for Nancy
Reagan).
Teenage pregnancy? Teens should just stop having sex.
I think it was Bill Maher who sid: "If you make people think, they
will hate you. But, if you make them think they are thinking they will
love you.
What we have here is a couple of simpletons who think they are
thinking and are oh so pleased with themselves.
Of course, neither of them have to deal with the problems they are so
cavalier about. |

Right. Talking shit doesn't constitute knowing what you are talking about.

If it were THAT easy, everyone would be thin. Apparently they have never
heard of a thing called genetics. Some people are genetically predisposed to
obesity no matter how much they eat. Thyroid problems. The mechani | | |
