than twenty pounds over the Official Healthy Weight for your height??
Yes Rob, I am a fat ass. You have not posted a photo since 1989, so I am
guessing that you are probably a fat ass too (or just a skinny flabby guy
like Curt). |

Me! Me! Me!
I tip the scales at overfat 187 lbs currently, but at least I get the
comfort that I'm working on changing it. In January I was tipping the
scales at a very fat 225.
Weight watchers worked for me to get to 185~190 range. The rest is up to
me now.

I started out 30 pounds less than the Official Healthy Weight for my height
and frame 125 pounds. 10 pounds to go. I figured Atrial Fibrillation was a
good reason to do something about it. A little more immediatelly life
threatening than being overweight.

Overweight is more a function of bodyfat percentage than weight.
according to my charts you should be between 180 and 220 depending on frame
size.
At 5' 8" borderline large frame I should weigh around 165 to 170

I can tell just by looking in the mirror that I am still too soft. Of
course, I used to weigh 260 with far less muscle mass, so I don't beat
myself up about it too much. I am not particularly interested in
becoming bodybuilder lean, but I still have some work to do and I
don't mind admitting that.

Well, I thought I was 15% bodyfat, but someone else thought it was 20%
( http://taipei.craigslist.org/rnr/395647450.html). So I guess I'm a
fatbody, too.
My goal is to be no more than 200 lbs. I'm 5'11" and 230 right now,
though 10 pounds is due to creatine, and easily lost with one day of
bicycling. My fighting best ever shape was almost fifteen years ago,
at about 180 lbs. Thing is, in terms of looks, I still look the
same. Honest! I look basically (within just one "standard
deviation," as it were) the same. |

Looks like 15% or less to me.

Nah, he's fit. Well, minus that hernia thing he mentioned? Ecch.
'bert and me can play "extrusion" (?) poker. "I'll see your hernia and
raise you one pleomorphic whatever the hell it is."

I love you, too, Moose.
Hey, you're a few weeks late or at least fifty percent (okay forty
percent) wrong with your description.

No, Bob, that was a bit of MFW theater. I've got a pleomorphic
somethingsomething while Robert, iirc, has some form of hernia
associated with, yeah, somethingsomething.
Curt aka mr. specific
P.S. How's your hereditary hernia doing? All fixed up by a surgeon or
do those things heal on their own?

Surgery. The slits that the blood vessels etc go through sometimes have
visceral lining in them they eventually separeate. About 5% of males have
the problem.
My father had the same thing.

My grandfather on my mother's side died of leukemia at just shy of 62
years of age. I've inherited his hairline, but hopefully will escape
the blood cancer. He was 6'1 and 210 according to my grandmother who
lived to age 87. My grandparents on my father's side lived to 91 plus
a few months.
(Googles)
I'll be.
Here's a little reference for anyone interested... http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi
My memory is terrible. Perhaps I inherited that from some member of my
family. Regardless, I've been operating under the assumption that both
my grandparents on my father's side passed away post-90 years of age,
however my grandmother was "only" 89.
Well, glad the surgery did the trick for you.
