I did gym 6 days in the last 7. Today, I moved deadlifts to one of my
back days. And rather working up to my 1RM with say a set of lower
weight for 10, then increasing the weight each time for set of say 6, 3,
2 ,1 and 1, I decided to stick at about 85% (110kg) of my 1RM (130 kg)
and did 5 sets of 5. Which interestingly made me think about my
breathing. As in how many breaths I need in a set of 5. I know I can
reset after each rep but I prefer to just let the weight kiss then floor
then lift immediately. Anyhow, I need to get this breathing sorted
better but it all went well. Then I did seated rows 5X8, chin ups 5X5, 2
sets of 10 cable lat isolation presses (no idea what the correct term
is) then finished off with some forearm and bicep work. Tomorrow is
shoulders!

Beer time!

I traveled the last three days but managed to work out every day, though two
workouts were in crappy hotel 'fitness centers.' On the bright side I stayed
one night at the Biltmore in LA where the oscars were conceived in 1927.
Nine academy awards ceremonies were held there, all before 1944, and not a
single one hosted by Billy Crystal.

Guess you are going to make me type it all up. I have it scanned and printed
but I can't copy it anyway.
It's such small print and so dark in the gym I have to go to a window to
read it or get my glasses so I guess I might as well type it out, I'll get
it done for my newest work out. I have a different workout for each day,
MWF.

I wasn't in a gym for years, but finally I found a routine which
doesn't hurt me, so I'm a happy man. Freaking several months of trial
and error.

After 3 weeks off because of the flu I finally made it back. I dropped 8
pounds in 2 weeks from the flu. I also lost a lot of strength. I am getting
back on the creatine to help put it back on.

Do you ever wonder who gained the weight you lost? I mean matter can
neither be created nor destroyed so if you lost it somebody gained it.
Maybe it was Curt, maybe it was shared. Hell, when I lost 22kg when I
was sick I probably got somebody a spot on the "biggest loser" weight
loss TV show.

I apply the same "balance theory" to everything. The world makes more
sense then. Like if some poor soul is depressed, then somebody else is
really happy.

Cheers

Interesting theory. Got me a spot on the "biggest LAUGHer" just
now.

Where DOES that matter, that fat/weight go? It's burned as fuel, but
what does that entail? Do we sweat it out? Septic tank? WHERE do the
lost pounds go?

I just mentioned the portrait of Dorian Gray in a blog on BodySpace,
so, yeah, perhaps there's some guy or gal who's gaining weight
inexplicably as the result of someone else's weight loss success.

Actually, I bet those lost pounds are in some alternate universe,
surrounded by socks, keys, etc.

So if I become concerned with excess weight I should get married?
Wait, isn't that the opposite of that time-honored advice: "The secret
to losing x lbs. of ugly fat? Divorce!"

Or something like that.

(ba dump bump)

These are the jokes, folks!

Note: The aformentioned "joke" is not applicable or related to any
spouses of patrons and/or patrons of MFW. Thank you.

Or, in your case you could lose 3.5 pounds of ugly fat by cutting your head
off (skinny little head).

My skull is about 23" around and no doubt exceeds 3.5 pounds. Heck, I
probably carry that much weight in fillings alone! Wait, are you
talking about my...

Because no way is THAT 3.5 pounds.

I have some exercise equipment at home. I do something everyday. I
like full body workouts. One set per muscle group followed by 30
minutes of cardio. Cardio is either running 3 miles or 30 minutes on
an elliptical trainer.
