Default Has anyone tried Quinoa yet?

I just bought some. It cooks up really quickly in the microwave. I mixed it
with some cream of vegetable soup I found at Trader Joe's. Read up on it.
It's higher in protein than other grains and has a good amount of potassium
and other essential vits and mins.

I'll have to czech it out. I'm allergic to wheat (and other related
grains such as oats and barley) so am not sure if I can tolerate it.

So far, about the only grain I tolerate well is corn.

Wheat allergies are fairly common.

Oddly enough, I do ok with oat bran. I like to cook it as a hot cereal
and mix it with yogurt.

Wife's been making it about once a week and I really like it. It's good for
ya but the flavor is good, too.

I've made my own wheat-free version of tabouli with quinoa.
