Default How long should i run for ?

I do 30mins of cardio 5 times a week plus maybe 30 mins of weights 3
of those days. However only 10mins of that in running the other 20mins
is a stationary bike. should i run for longer or do some intival
training? im 55kgs and would prefer to be 51kgs but dieting is out of
the question.

I can't but help say this but *are you a dumbbell*? We have dumbbells
heavier than you in my gym. But seriously, the mix of
interval/bike/run/weights is less important than making sure you expend
more energy then you consume over some fixed period like a week. Then
repeat.

Wrong newsgroup. This is for muscle freaks only. Try the alt.support.diet
and rec.running. Better yet sign up to

When I first saw the subject of this post I thought it was by Mike Huckabee.
If your goal is weight loss it doesn't matter what you are doing to get your
heart rate up and sustain it there. I do wonder why changing your eating
habits (I hate the word dieting) is out of the question.

She's only allowed to eat twigs and the occasional slice of orange.

Dieting would be the simplest (most efficient) course of action.
You're looking to lose almost nine pounds -- that's nothing at all!

But if you insist on doing things the hard way, well, how long have
you been following the program you outlined? Seems like you should
see results within a few weeks! Of course, if you're simply putting
all those burned calories back in, then you're only pedaling
backwards!

Generally speaking, they recommend twenty minutes of cardio before any
"training effect" would ensue. You should be active at a fairly
rigorous level. I hope you're not one of these people that are on the
machines hardly breaking a sweat!

If you're serious about wanting to burn stomach fat, and burn it fast.
Do interval training.

Don't waste your time doing slow, even paced cardio workouts.

A great idea would be to mix it up. Do interval training on the
treadmill a few times a week. Then do it on the stair master or a
different cardio machine the next.

Also, to me, the stationary bike is a waster of your time. It burns
the least calories compared to the treadmill which burns the most b/c
your upper body is involved. Stationary bikes also burn the lease
calories b/c it's the easiest out of all the cardio machines.

But, also cardio and diet alone is great to lose fat. But, it's not
enough. If you want to lose fat even faster, then build more lean
muscle.

The more muscle you have, the more calories (fat) you burn.

You can learn this and more by going to http://www.best-abs-exercises.com/burn-stomach-fat.html

Depend what you understand under dieting. The math is simple, expend
more than you take and you will be great. This is a good that dieting
is out question. By the way it is so important to be 51kg , are you
getting ready for Olympics? Training should be fun, but I am not sure
that you are having fun with that kind of training.

ABS everybody wants them.* Then why don't people do something about
it? i made a blog that i really hope will help and motivate you to
achieve this goal www.superrippedabs.blogspot.com* The key to getting
abs is through Patience and Persistence. If you put your mind to it
